Malachi Booker brings a powerful blend of size, strength, and scoring ability to the wing-forward spot. He plays with a physical edge, using his frame to create advantages in both half-court and transition settings. Booker is a legitimate three-level scorer who becomes especially effective when he commits to attacking downhill. His ability to absorb contact and finish makes him a difficult cover, particularly against smaller defenders. When locked in, he can overwhelm defenses with his combination of force and skill.

While it is hard to say that a nationally ranked prospect, who is playing for one the country’s top teams is a “sleeper”, many coaches, scouts and fans have not seen the Houston native play until recently. An injury had Booker out all spring and summer and he now seems to be rounding back into form. He is a strong, athletic forward who has inside/outside scoring ability at the offensive end. He is skilled enough to make an open jumper from beyond the arc and can really rebound and defend.
