Hunter had a second consecutive monster weekend with Gray Collegiate. After impressing in his first weekend back in South Carolina at the USC Team Camp, McGraw had a point to prove, going against some of the best of the best in the state at SC Live. He went for 25 points in a potential State-Championship matchup with Byrnes, impressing with his shot-making at multiple levels. There was even a clear effort to get him post-up looks, using a positional size advantage to score however he could. If there were any doubts before, McGraw made a statement this weekend that he is one of the best players in South Carolina.

Hunter was back with Gray Collegiate Academy this weekend after spending last season at Dynamic Prep (TX). Although he was one of the top 2027s in the state before he left, it’s still easy to see the strides he’s taken over the last 12 months. He was one of the best shooters in the gym on day one, both on the perimeter and in the mid-range. Whether he’s catching-and-shooting or working off closeouts, the threat of Hunter’s shot makes defenses uncomfortable and makes life easier for his teammates to work. He finished with 17 points in his first game back in a War Eagle jersey.

McGraw delivered efficient scoring with 14 points, adding 1 rebound and 2 steals in a controlled role. He shot efficiently from the field (5-9), capitalizing on clean looks and making quick decisions. His scoring came within the flow, particularly attacking gaps and converting without over-dribbling. Defensively, he contributed with activity, generating steals and staying engaged. His performance reflected strong efficiency in limited usage.

Hunter Hunter Chandler | 2026 TX McGraw made the most of his shot attempts from the field, knocking them down with efficiency and patience within the flow of the offense. He showed flashes of floor general potential, and his ability to balance facilitating with timely scoring made him the most reliable lead guard on the floor. He consistently made the right reads while keeping the offense organized and productive.

Hunter McGraw helped Dynamic Prep ignite a near comeback against Bella Vista. He caught fire from beyond the arc, quickly trimming the deficit. And also found ways to get to the rim and earn trips to the free-throw line. Although Dynamic Prep didn’t come away with the win, his high level offensive skill was very evident.

Hunter is a Columbia-native who played with a bit of an edge in his return home. He changed the game with his defensive intensity, particularly in the second quarter, which Dynamic Prep won 28-14. He didn’t record any steals, but he forced several dead-ball turnovers and in general, made life difficult for the Ridge View ball handlers. On the offensive end, McGraw shot the ball well from three while playing more off the ball than I have seen from him, finishing with 12 points on 3-5 3FG.

A knockdown lefty who is often the first player down the court, taking full advantage of pace-and-space opportunities to punish defenses from beyond the arc. McGraw’s also a thread-the-needle passer, the moment he sees an opening, the ball leaves his hands arriving immediately and accurately.

Hunter Hunter Chandler | 2026 TX McGraw is a name to take note of. He’s a lefty knockdown shooter with deep range and versatility as both a catch-and-shoot option and an off-the-dribble scoring threat. He displays smooth footwork and rhythm, often hopping into his catches on two feet with balance before rising seamlessly, showing confidence to fire whether contested or not. His step-back pull-up is a weapon, giving him the ability to create separation against tight coverage. With the ball in his hands, McGraw uses change-of-pace dribbles and crafty hesitations in two and three-dribble combos to create driving lanes for himself. Once inside the paint, he elevates with control, adjusting midair to finish around contests with composure and touch. His scoring package forces defenders to stay honest, as he’s equally capable of burning them from beyond the arc or attacking closeouts with decisive drives. Overall, this newcomer to Texas will be bringing dynamic scoring that is sure to make him difficult to game plan for.

McGraw is a strong combo guard who mixes physicality with skill. He has a developing perimeter shot and the ability to finish at the rim. McGraw defends multiple positions and uses his size to his advantage. He projects as a two-way guard with upside on both ends.
