The Duke University signee displayed his sharpshooting mechanics where he finished with 17 points, on 8-of-13 shooting from the field. Harris also made an impact with his playmaking off the ball where he slashed to his open spots to get him or his teammates involved as he also finished with four assists. Harris was also a key contributor on the defensive end where he guarded multiple positions and using his length around the rim to challenge shots.
The 6-5 sophomore guard did a good job utilizing himself around the rim whether it was drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. Holmes finished with a game-high 22 points and six rebounds in the loss to Paul VI (Virginia). Holmes’ court vision has also expanded this season where he has become a viable threat to shoot from beyond the arc as well as his mid-range game.
Despite the blowout loss to the No. 1 ranked team in the country in Montverde Academy, The Miami signee held his own ground finishing with 12 points including four 3-pointers. Swartz was able to show off his quick release but was nearly impossible to get to the rim as he was being closely guarded by the nation’s top ranked recruit in Cooper Flagg. Swartz has been a viable scorer but can also be very dangerous when it comes to defending out on the perimeter using his quickness.
Highlights
The nation’s No. 1 recruit bursted onto the scene right from the opening tip as Flagg dominated on the floor scoring a game-high 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field, seven rebounds and five assists in a commanding rout over Cannon School (North Carolina). Flagg has continued to improve with his step-back three’s as well as his ability to get to the front of the rim. His frame has quickly emerged and shows reasons why he is the potential top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Newell, listed at 6-10 continues to use his frame and has played with a ton of confidence this season whether it’s playing out on the perimeter or playing on the low blocks. He has quickly emerged as one of the top prospects in this year’s senior class as he continued to make an impact on Monday night finishing with 11 points and four rebounds.
The 6-4 sophomore guard had a dominant showing from the opening tip where he was staying aggressive as well as getting bucket after bucket. Lloyd has displayed a ton of confidence in his game whether he can get to the rim or knock down jumpers off the catch. On the defensive end, Lloyd’s stock continues to rise as he is emerging as a Top-10 prospect in this year’s sophomore class. Lloyd finished with a game-high 30 points and six rebounds in the rout over Mariner.
