With the public school season starting Friday night and private schools continuing to put games under their belt, we're excited to watch Phenom Hoops put on one of the best invitationals in the state with the George Lynch Invitational, this Friday and Saturday at Myers Park High School. Check out some of the top matchups going down this weekend, and with it, some players to watch from each game.

1 of 1 Academy (2-0) vs. Northside Christian (0-1) - Friday, 7 PM

[player_tooltip player_id='1226608' first='Yohance' last='Connor'] (1 of 1) - Dynamic combo guard that attacks the basket with intensity and pace. Can shoot the ball well when asked to. Should see more of his facilitating skills on display this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1760747' first='Sebastian' last='Akins'] (1 of 1) - Commanding PG who runs the show with craftiness. A real dog on the court, both in competitiveness and motor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1226599' first='Tayeshaun' last='Smith'] (1 of 1) - Incredibly physical, high motor big man. Should be HM when all is said and done. Active rebounder and shot blocker, finishes well around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='854883' first='Joshua' last='Bullock'] (NCA) - Real gritty guy who plays hard and never backs down from the moment. Defensive pest who gets up in jerseys all 94 feet of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1869285' first='Kyrell' last='Shaw'] (NCA) - Long, lengthy shooter/scorer type that makes plays all over the court. Shoots over people and has long strides in transition that make him hard to stay in front of.

Quality Education Academy (2-2) vs. NC GBB (0-1) - Saturday, 12:30 PM

[player_tooltip player_id='1008884' first='JJ' last='Moore'] (QEA) - Pint-sized point guard that is a triple double threat every night. Accomplished scorer and passer on the offensive end. Rebounds well for his size.

[player_tooltip player_id='975134' first='Jermaurhiyun' last='Anderson'] (QEA) - Operates well in the mid-range, really shifty and quick. Start/Stop ability is unlike many others at his size and position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1104961' first='Caden' last='Bell'] (GBB) - Really, strong physical lead guard. Downhill driver that just bullies people out of his way despite only being 6'2. Able to fire passes out when defenders collapse in.

[player_tooltip player_id='1307578' first='Isaiah' last='Otyaluk'] (GBB) - Long wing that was maybe the stockriser of the summer in the state. Gotten better as a shooter while still being dangerous in transition/slashing from the wings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1145483' first='CJ' last='Alston'] (GBB) - Dogged, undersized combo guard that really fights hard every possession. Kind of a mixed bag offensively, can drive it but also shoot it too. Fights hard on defense.

Christ School vs. JL Chambers - Saturday, 6:30 PM

[player_tooltip player_id='1496977' first='Lleyton' last='Thomas-Johnson'] (CS) - Stockrising 2 guard/wing that is efficient as a slasher and an off ball player. Expanding role for Christ School and should find plenty more opportunities this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1076360' first='Bryson' last='Cokley'] (CS) - George Mason commit who is an efficient scorer and really can attack people with his athletic and skill combo. Proficient jump shooter from both mid-range and 3 point areas.

[player_tooltip player_id='1076352' first='Maurio' last='Hanson'] (JLC) - Lefty post player who both can score and make plays from the low post. Physical and strong frame that is hard to guard if opposing post players don't have the same size.

[player_tooltip player_id='1680976' first='Jordan' last='Patton'] (JLC) - Athletic, slashing wing that is hard to guard with a head of steam. Transition monster who will play above the rim anytime he wants to.

[player_tooltip player_id='2023905' first='Tarris' last='Bouie'] (JLC) - Long, disruptive wing that has plenty of vertical pop and explosiveness. Handles the ball well and makes plays at his size that are impressive.

Combine Academy vs. Myers Park - Saturday, 8 PM

[player_tooltip player_id='1343876' first='Jayan' last='Walker'] (CA) - Combo guard that knows how to put the ball in the basket in any way possible. MM target for many coaches and could become even better when he is an elite defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1907802' first='Elhadji' last='Diallo'] (CA) - FREAKISH athlete that is continuing to develop and find his potential. Playing above the rim and blocking shots like no one's business.

Jahseem Felton (CA) - Seton Hall commit who is long, bouncy, and can really fill it up. Showing more and more ability to make plays with the ball in his hands, giving potential looks at him becoming a true point guard at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1180892' first='Sir' last='Mohammed'] (MP) - Jumbo guard who makes plays out of ball screens and sprays passes around the floor. Can score it too when asked to. Defensive stud who swallows up opposing guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1225669' first='Sadiq' last='White Jr'] (MP) - Lanky athletic forward who has made significant jumps to his game in the past 12 months. Freakish athlete in transition, and has ball skills that are uncommon for his frame.
