Connor went nuclear over the weekend in Combine’s win over Fear of God Athletics where the 6-foot-2 lead guard erupted for 47 points on 69.2 percent from the field. To make matters even more impressive, he pulled down 11 boards, dished out seven assists and collected four steals in what would go down as a definitive, stat-stuffing performance. After starting the season with two losses, the Blue Checks have won two-straight to sit a .500 overall. With Connor playing at the level that he is over the last two contests, those winning ways have a great chance of continuing. He ranks second in the league at 32.8 points per game.

Playing with Combine Academy, Connor proved why he’s one of the more electric guards you’ll find in the 2026 class. His ability to get to the rim in the flash and punch throwdown dunks with authority are all key ingredients for this team to be successful as they play off the momentum those sort of highlight reel moments give off. He’s at his best in the open floor where his craft, quickness, and dynamism with the ball all take centerstage. He’s quick in ball screen actions where he can split the coverage or use his wiggle to gain an advantage in 1-on-1s with intentions of finding a way to the bucket. The jumper with Connor is still a work in progress and could be the ultimate swing skill for just how high of a level he will ultimately reach and thrive at.

Connor makes the jump to the top spot in the latest 2026 rankings as he’s taken the 3SSB stage by storm with Team Loaded VA. He’s an efficient scoring guard who can get to the rim in a hurry and finish with authority and knock down shots in the midrange. Defensively, he’s a terror who can defend with his quickness and length on the floor at 6-foot-3. He moves from No. 32 into the No. 1 spot as he’s headed to Combine Academy ready to set the OTE stage ablaze with an extensive list of offers already from the likes of LSU, Illinois, Auburn and other HM programs.

Connor has emerged as the best player for this 1 of 1 team, and continues to show why he’s a top combo guard in the state. He’s an efficient scorer who really can play above the rim and in the open court with little issue. He’s also able to stretch the floor with his jumper, but it is still a work in progress for him to become a really elite shooter. However, he brings a toughness and relentless intensity to the defensive end that few others do, as he’s always heating up the ball and looking to make plays or force turnovers.
