Akins is the first commitment in the Denver Pioneers 2024 recruiting class as they look to compete in the Summit League. He’s a dynamic floor general who should certainly change the outlook of their rotation given his ability to control things when the ball comes his way. He’s a defensive menace who can defend either guard role and isn’t afraid to mix things up on the boards. Offensively, he can handle pressure and easily turn his handling into points in the paint and behind the arc. He’s a steal at the MM level as he heads to the Summit League and into his final season at 1 of 1 Academy in the 704 area.

Akins is a point guard prospect who continues to climb up the PH NC radar out of the Charlotte area with 1 of 1 Academy. He’s a lead guard who had a strong grassroots season with 1 of 1 Elite and set to lead quite a talented cast of 1 of 1 Academy this season on the national stage. He’s a floor general to keep an eye on given his ability to operate on both ends of the floor. IUPUI, High Point and Winthrop have offered him so far as his final year of high school ball approaches.

He’s earned offers from the likes of Winthrop, IUPUI and High Point during the grassroots cycle while showing off his ability to operate at either guard role. He’s capable of defending with energy, making plays for others and can take over the game when things get close. He’s a 6-foot-2 combo guard for MM and LM D1 programs to get eyes on.

He’s emerged as a combo guard that can play either guard spot given his ability to defend, find his own offense and get others involved while showcasing his talent with a talented bunch of wings/guards that allow him to make things happen. He’s a prospect that MM/LM programs in the region need to get eyes on.

Sebastian Akins Sebastian Akins 6'2" | PG 1 of 1 Academy | 2024 State NC continues to improve and rise his stock since being seen this past season at 1 of 1 Academy. He’s shown he can be a catalyst in the 1 of 1 Rare backcourt with his ability to create for himself and others and knock down shots on the perimeter. He’s a strong lead guard that has a knack for making things happen when he’s on the floor. He’s another name for DI and DII programs in the area to get eyes on.

Sebastian Akins Sebastian Akins 6'2" | PG 1 of 1 Academy | 2024 State NC is a name to get to know in the 2024 class at the guard spot. He’s a 6-foot-2 combo guard with an ability to take over games with his ability to defend the basketball and finish around the rim. He posted 10.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.8 apg and 1.2 spg at 1 of 1 Academy in 2022-23. He’ll be a name for DII programs in the region to keep eyes on this grassroots cycle as he improves his perimeter shooting and shows off his mid-range game that will be running with 1 of 1 Elite in the Concord area.

Akins was impressive as a presence on both ends of the floor for 1 of 1 Prep. He showed could control the tempo and get his teammates involved as he finished with 26 points, five rebounds and four assists. He’s a 2024 name to get to know with this squad given his ability to attack the paint and finish in traffic.
