Sebastian Akins Sebastian Akins 6’2″ | PG 1 of 1 Academy | 2024 State NC is a name with 1 of 1 Elite that’s starting to gain steam on the recruiting trail after showing off what he can do on the hardwood. He’s earned offers from the likes of Winthrop, IUPUI and High Point during the grassroots cycle while showing off his ability to operate at either guard role. He’s capable of defending with energy, making plays for others and can take over the game when things get close. He’s a 6-foot-2 combo guard for MM and LM D1 programs to get eyes on.
Brandon Callahan Brandon Callahan 6’3″ | SG Millbrook | 2024 NC is another 2024 prospect with 1 of 1 Elite to get to know out of the Raleigh area. He came up big for Millbrook High down the stretch last season and should make a whole lot more noise with a full season to play in 2023-24. He’s a wiry wing prospect capable of getting to his spots off the bounce and knocking down shots on the perimeter and in the midrange. Add that to his ability to make things happen defensively and as a playmaker passing the ball, and he’s easily a prospect that can operate at the next level. DII programs in the region would be wise to get eyes on him.
Highlights
Jullien Cole Jullien Cole 6’4″ | SF Shiloh | 2024 State GA has been quite the name to get to know this grassroots cycle with Team Wall given his versatility and shooting at the guard spot. He’s due for a big senior season at Richmond Senior High while holding a lone offer from Shaw University. He’s a confident operator with the ball in his hands that’s shown he can knock down shots at volume on the perimeter and in the midrange. He’s got good burst and instincts athletically and isn’t shy about defending the basketball. He’s a prospect due to break out on the recruiting trail very soon.
Camden Edmonds Camden Edmonds 6’5″ | CG West Stokes | 2024 State NC is an underrated prospect in the 2024 class given what he can do on the floor. He’s a prospect that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor at 6-foot-6. He’s shown he can knock down shots on the perimeter and also finish at the rim when given opportunities. Defensively, he’s got solid instincts guarding a few different positions given his mobility and length. He’s a name that’s due to grow with the NC Spartans program following their debut season.
Jullian Mack Jullian Mack 6’2″ | SG Hopewell | 2024 State NC is another under-the-radar prospect out of Hopewell High that’s bounced back after battling injury during his junior season. He’s shown signs that he’s back to his old self with the Grindhouse Lakers on the grassroots scene as the live period wraps up. He’s a lethal scoring threat that can get hot in a hurry with the ball in his hands and has began to show the confidence that he can take over when needed in the backcourt with his abilities. DI and DII programs would be wise to get eyes on him as they began to narrow down recruiting needs and targets.
