PIAA 6A 1st Round Games 2 Watch

03/07/26 1pm. Conestoga @ Parkland   The District 11 champion Parkland Trojans will host a first-round matchup against the nine seed out of District 1, Conestoga Pioneers. Both teams have experienced guard play and balanced scoring this matchup has the makings of a competitive first-round battle.   03/07/26 630pm Pennsbury @ Central Dauphin   The Mid-Penn champions open play against Pennsbury Falcons, a talented squad out of District 1. Central Dauphin Rams boast impressive depth, with [player_tooltip player_id='2633131' first='Jared' last='Dolimpio'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2421234' first='Shakur' last='Starling'] anchoring the back-court. On the other side, Patrick Jajua who is one of the top sophomore guards in the state—will be tested against CD's strong back-court. Hiller is, if not the most captivating prospect in the Keystone State, certainly among the very best. The Red Raiders' depth stands out, with [player_tooltip player_id='1576717' first='Larry' last='Brown'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2247328' first='Jonas' last='Chester'] anchoring the interior, while two-way guard [player_tooltip player_id='2427329' first='Isaiah' last='Hicklen'] steers the ship and consistently finds different ways to impact the game on both ends. Standing in their way is Chambersburg Trojans, a senior-heavy group battle-tested in the talent-rich Mid-Penn Conference, arguably the deepest league of 6A schools in the state. This matchup has all the makings of one of the best games of opening weekend in the state tournament.   03/07/26 1pm Central Catholic @ Allderdice   The team with the shortest commute for its first-round matchup features the Vikings squaring off against the Dragons. Enzo Khalil, who headlines a guard-heavy squad and makes a living attacking the rim while playing with a high level of physicality. [player_tooltip player_id='3424443' first='Jack' last='Stoessel'], [player_tooltip player_id='1406913' first='Wills' last='Kontul'], and [player_tooltip player_id='3188673' first='Christian' last='Williams'] provide valuable depth and experience, giving the Vikings balance throughout the rotation. Taylor Allderice will rely on the scoring punch of [player_tooltip player_id='2969679' first='Keith' last='Taylor'] and Keilyn Walden, who consistently find ways to put the ball in the basket and complement each other well. [player_tooltip player_id='2950688' first='Lukas' last='Stead'] is always a tough game plan for due to his ability to play inside and out. [player_tooltip player_id='2967586' first='Zachary' last='Coffey'] adds another dimension, impacting the game on both ends of the floor and showcasing a tireless work ethic that can swing momentum in a tightly contested matchup.   03/07/26 1pm Archbishop Wood @ Souderton   [player_tooltip player_id='2833866' first='Chanse' last='Salone'] and his dynamic southpaw floor game will get the opportunity to go head-to-head with one of the top backcourt groups in the state in the Archbishop Wood Vikings. That unit is headlined by [player_tooltip player_id='2206834' first='Caleb' last='Lundy'], [player_tooltip player_id='2247394' first='Brady' last='MacAdams'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2614919' first='Dylan' last='Powell'], each bringing a different element to the game, whether it's scoring punch, playmaking ability, or perimeter shooting. Their collective versatility and chemistry make them a difficult matchup for any opponent. [player_tooltip player_id='2397578' first='Jaydn' last='Jenkins'] length, size, and mobility could pose significant problems for Souderton throughout the contest, particularly if he's able to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
