Kontul was one of PCC’s main scorers even though they struggled to score collectively he chipped in a few nice buckets. He touches the paint on the attack and is able to finish around the hoop. Kontul scored from behind the arc. He did a nice job starting the break for his team. Despite his smaller frame he seemed to be able to handle contact. He split his chances from the foul line.

Kontul is small and relatively underdeveloped physically, but he is incredibly skilled. He has awesome change of speed and direction on his dribble moves, and he can get into the paint consistently as a result of his feel and craft. He was also one of the better three point shooters I saw at MIT, getting super hot at one point during Saturday’s games. When he isn’t looking to score, he makes great decisions for his teammates and never holds the ball for too long. Kontul should absolutely find a D3 fit, but I bet he’ll be under-recruited because of his lack of size.
