Dolimpio was able to start the break and get the offense moving at a fast pace in transition. He knocked down a pair of three-pointers and finished with eight points. At times, though, it felt like he floated through stretches of the game and could benefit from cutting more when playing off the ball. Using more shot fakes when trying to score in or around traffic would also help him create better opportunities.

He finished the game with 12 points and got off to a strong start with a few early buckets shortly after the opening tip. He knocked down two three-pointers and showed a good feel for the game by finding ways to generate steals. His passing also stood out, as he was able to create scoring opportunities for his teammates. Defensively, he made several plays and did a good job turning defense into offense in transition. I’d like to see him play off two feet more when attacking the basket, which could help him stay under control and finish stronger. He also has the potential to become more dangerous as an off-ball slasher, using his movement to create easier scoring opportunities.

It was a bit of a rollercoaster ride for Dolimpio playing in his former home gym, but the explosive guard would finish with a game-high 21 points, highlighted by 13-point fourth-quarter spurt that made much of the difference in the game. The Cumberland Valley transfer came out hot, knocking down a pair of early 3’s, but lost his rhythm through the middle quarters as he struggled to connect from long range with his downhill ability stymied by a zone defense. He came alive in the 4th with another pair of 3’s that got him going, following up with a series of athletic downhill buckets with the game hanging in the balance throughout the closing minutes. Dolimpio is still getting his feet under him after gaining eligibility midseason as a late transfer, but he was able to show the two-way juice he brings when he gets going.

Dolimpio is going to light the Mid-Penn Commonwealth up this year, finally entering upperclassman status after a solid sophomore season. Not only does he shoot the 3-ball at an impressive clip, but Jared is just as good attacking downhill, often finishing with a ferocious dunk over top of multiple defenders. His athleticism is always on display on both sides of the floor. Dolimpio has proven to hit clutch shots when called upon. With a near complete game as a junior, the sky is the limit for the skilled guard, who will continue to be relied upon more frequently.

Stepping up from a valued reserve as a freshman to a perennial top scorer as a sophomore, Dolimpio has emerged among the top players in the district already with his upperclassmen career still left to play out. Splitting his spring among the Pro16 and MHC circuits, he’s kept up the momentum while showcasing himself as a dynamic and energetic two-way threat in the backcourt. Dolimpio impresses with his controlled aggression as a scorer both from the perimeter and near the rim, while consistently speeding up opposing guards with his bothersome on-ball defense. He looks to be a near-certain D1 prospect with a chance to catch some higher-level looks if he can refine his game as more of a lead guard in the years to come.

My new nickname for Dolimpio is ole reliable it seems like every time I go to evaluate him you know what you are going to get. Dolimpio is consistently consistent and knows how to string together quality performances. Whether that’s made threes, athletic defensive plays, or finding others for scoring chances of their own. He likes to make popping whenever he is in the game. He has no problem playing in a multi-guard lineup. I think he should see his stock rise sooner than later.

68 to 58…For Dolimpio, his stellar sophomore campaign will go down as his breakout stretch of play. In 2024-25 he averaged 12 points per game, popped 45 threes and was a 2nd Team All-Mid-Penn selection. Then in the post season, Dolimpio took his scoring contributions to another level. Across the Mid-Penn Conference, District 3 and 5A state playoffs (8 games) Dolimpio contributed 15 points per night. He scored a season high 25 points (3 triples) in CV’s Mid-Penn title game victory over Trinity. This winter Dolimpio displayed an improved bag of dribble drive moves. So, when this speedy and athletic prospect was not splashing treys, he was getting to rim on the fast break as well as in the half-court. His ability to finish through contact is remarkable. At the other end of the floor, Dolimpio is a plus defender with active hands.

Helping lead the charge for a Cumberland Valley team that easily could have walked away with the win, Dolimpio showed off his energetic two-way play that’s placed him on early D1 watch lists heading into the grassroots season. He started out showing his instincts and athleticism on a pair of cutting finishes before getting going from beyond the arc on a couple catch-and-shoot 3s. Dolimpio would later show off his athleticism and nose for the rim with a series of driving finishes highlighted by a momentum-grabbing runout dunk late in the third quarter. His downhill play was muted a bit by a stingy Coatesville zone, but his well-rounded game and aggressive approach make for a highly intriguing prospect to continue tracking down the line.
