One of our top unsigned senior that still remain in the 2026 class is Princeton big man [player_tooltip player_id='1560964' first='Edwin' last='Holmes']. As fully expected, Holmes has been fantastic for the Tigers this season with his near double-double average of 15.6 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. At 6'6, Holmes is a tall, versatile forward that can do a little bit of everything and is just a tough matchup to any defense. You can watch him this week with the Tigers plays Tecumseh and Forest Park.

Evansville Bosse has been one of the top teams in the Evansville Bosse area this season and huge part of that is due to the play of senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2172596' first='Marrius' last='Harris']. The 6'1 shooting guard is averaging a team-high 18.0 points as well as 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Harris is a lightning quick guard that is so dynamic on the ball. He holds a division one offer from Southern Indiana. Bosse will play Evansville Harrison this week.

One of our top under-the-radar guards in the senior class that is still unsigned is New Castle point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561071' first='Mason' last='Miller']. Miller is shorter guard but man, he can flat-out produce at a very high level, which is why New Castle has earned 9 wins this season. Miller is averaging a team high 16.6 points as well as 2.7 assists per game. He is a very good scorer that has the ability to take over a game, which is why he holds offers from Wabash, Hanover, and Calumet College of St. Joseph. You can watch him this week when New Castle faces Shenandoah.

3 Teams

Penn (4A) – One of the top Class 4A teams in the northern part of the state all season has been the Penn Kingsmen. Although they have lost 2 of their last 3 games, Penn is 15-5 on the year and are one of the teams that could make it out of the tough Sectional 3 this year. For Penn, it all starts with 2028 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2457404' first='Caleb' last='Coolman'] whole leads them with 20.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists for them. Other guys like [player_tooltip player_id='2140417' first='Makale' last='Price'], [player_tooltip player_id='1561024' first='Ben' last='Murphy'] [player_tooltip player_id='2477111' first='Christian' last='Bonner'], [player_tooltip player_id='1561051' first='Cody' last='Evans'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1561075' first='Lucas' last='Obermeyer'] have been great for them as well this year. You can watch them vs South Bend Riley on Friday.

Jay County (3A) – Class 3A will be a tough tournament to make a deep run in but a team that is making a little bit of push as one to watch for are the Jay County Patriots. A top 12 team in Class 3A, Jay County is led by a pair of double-figure scorer in [player_tooltip player_id='2411083' first='Jayden' last='Comer'] with 15.3 ppg and [player_tooltip player_id='2399010' first='Gradin' last='Swoveland'] with 14.6 ppg. Before losing a tough game to Yorktown, the Patriots were on a 14-game winning streak. This week, they look to bounce back vs Norwell and Hamilton Heights.

Southwood (1A) – Class 1A is going to be a fun race as always and a team to keep a close eye on these next few weeks are the Southwood Knights. With a very impressive 16-2 record, Southwood is led by senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2136359' first='Bryce' last='Wilcox'] with his 21.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 55 percent FG make rate. Maddox Marshall and Emery Liddick have also been really good for them this season, as well. You can watch Southwood this week when they travel to both Adams Central and Northfield.

3 Matchups

University (2A) at Westfield (4A) - Feb 17th, 7:30

One of the more fun games that we have on tap this week is the Tuesday night matchup between University and Westfield. This game is always one of the more sneaky good games of the season and we fully expect to be another good one between this two local teams. University will come into this one with four guys leading them in double-figures in [player_tooltip player_id='2887162' first='Joshua' last='Henderson'] (18.1), [player_tooltip player_id='1282878' first='Blake' last='Gray'] (12.5), [player_tooltip player_id='2630646' first='Faisal' last='Mohamud'] (12.2) and [player_tooltip player_id='1560954' first='Josh' last='McGee'] (10.3) but they will have they hands full with Westfield big three [player_tooltip player_id='1988138' first='Drew' last='Haffner'], [player_tooltip player_id='1989377' first='Brock' last='Detamore'], and Luke Vandergriff. Prep Hoops Indiana will have boots on the ground in this one and we expect this to be tightly contest matchup. Give me University to win a very close one.

Cathedral (3A) at Ben Davis (4A) - Feb 20th, 7:30

It is hard to find a bigger matchup in the state this week than the matchup on Friday between Cathedral and Ben Davis. Two teams that are legit looking to make a deep state tournament run in their respective classes, a win here for either one of them would go a long way in building momentum ahead of Sectionals. Detroit Mercy signee [player_tooltip player_id='1561135' first='Keaton' last='Aldridge Jr']. will come in with his 17.9 points and [player_tooltip player_id='1561435' first='Julien' last='Smith'] with his 17.6 points per game and will face Miami (OH) signee Jashawn Ladd (14.1 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2452919' first='Sherman' last='Moss'] Wright (13.4 ppg). It's a true heavyweight matchup that could come down to the wire. Give me Ben Davis to get the big win here.

Cardinal Ritter (2A) at Parke Heritage (2A) - Feb 21st, 7:30

Perhaps the biggest Class 2A matchup this week will be when Cardinal Ritter goes on the road to face Parke Heritage on Saturday. The matchup to watch here is going to be CR's [player_tooltip player_id='3068383' first='Devin' last='Bolden'] and PH's [player_tooltip player_id='2272232' first='Isaac' last='Pickel'] in the front court but the difference maker here is without question PH's [player_tooltip player_id='1560965' first='Treigh' last='Schelsky']. If Cardinal Ritter can get a huge performance from senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1990762' first='Cheick' last='Wade'], there is a chance for them to get the big road win here. Going to go with Parke Heritage to get the road win.
