I think there is no argument that this senior guard was the most steady player for Westfield in their losing effort to Hamilton Southeastern on Tuesday night. Brock Detamore Brock Detamore 6'0" | PG Westfield | 2026 State IN finished with a team high 18 points and played a high motor once again on both ends of the floor. He seemed like he was always there to make a play for Westfield even when it felt like HSE was going to pull away early. This was a great showing in his final high school game.

being that reelable scoring threat and Luke Vadegriff being that force in the post, Detamore is that steady glue guy that can make plays on both ends of the floor. Coming into Sectional 8 averaging 11.9 points per game, Detamore is a guard that plays with a high motor and is aggressive on both ends of the floor. If teams somehow manage to slow down Haffner and Vandegriff, Detamore is a guy that is capable of stepping up in a major ways.

When you watch Westfield, the two guys that are going to catch your attention the quickest are both Haffner and Vandegriff however, when you look at the guys that do the “dirty work,” Brock Detamore Brock Detamore 6'0" | PG Westfield | 2026 State IN is at the top of that list. During Westfield’s game vs University, Detamore was one of the more active guys I watched on both end of the floor. While is jumper was not always falling, Detamore was super aggressive with a strong first step in the lane and was making plays on the other end of the floor. Every team needs a hustle guy like Detamore on their team.

One of the toughest and up-and-coming guards I got a chance to watch a few times this summer is Westfield’s Brock Detamore Brock Detamore 6'0" | PG Westfield | 2026 State IN . The 6’0 guard feels like one of those “do it all” type of players when you watch him compete on the hardwood. He can run an offense, be that point of attack on the defensive end, shoot it from deep, score in the lane, facilitate, and much more. I expect him to have a big season for Westfield.

He is really a small college’s dream lead guard with his ability to score, defend, and facilitate.

There is not question that Detamor was easily one of the toughest guards I watched all weekend and that held true on Sunday. A guy that just seemingly had the will to make plays, Detamore was one of the few players that kept Team Indiana 2027 within striking distance of almost winning a championship. He scores extremely well both on the wing and in the lane. Could be a breakout guard this high school season.

On an 18-4 Westfield Shamrocks team, Brock Detamore Brock Detamore 6'0" | PG Westfield | 2026 State IN was able to be a key player in the success of the team. Putting up 8 points per game, he should see that increase as he goes into his senior year. Going into his last season, it is his responsibility to take the reigns and improve the team from where they were last season. Getting to watch some of his teammates grow and lead him into the player he is today, Detamore is the veteran on the team. He will now take that role for the future of the Shamrocks program. He is a player to watch and he should not fly under the radar this season if he has a breakout season.

The incoming senior guard out of Westfield was one of the more productive guards that I have seen so far in July. Playing for Team Indiana 2026, Detamore showed his quickness both on and off the ball as a distributer, cutter, and shooter. He is crafty in the lane does a good job of drawing contact and getting to the free throw line as a guard. Real consistent as a three-point shooter off the catch as well.

Westfield knocked off Ben Davis on Sunday afternoon and this rising senior guard was a major reason why it happened. Detamore displayed an impressive pop of athleticism at the end of his drives and was consistently able to finish against the size and length of the Giants’ front court. He certainly looked the part of someone who will become highly sought after at the small college level.
