will always pass the eye test when you see him on the basketball. Not only does he pass the eye test due to his huge size and frame, he is starting to show an improved skillset, as well. This was my first chance to see the 6’10 big man since he gained a more prominent role as a starter and although he did not score a whole lot, he impacted the game as the best rebounder on the floor while also displaying great passing instincts at his size. As far as scoring fundamentals, his footwork is showing a lot of improvement in the post-up actions.

This 6’10” big man from Westfield High School continues to get better and better. He was a dominant force on the glass on Sunday evening at the Metro Indy Fall League. Vandegriff has good footwork, plays through contact well, and is starting to be a real threat as a scorer on the block. Coming off of a good summer and fall, look for him to have a breakout junior season.

, a 6’10” Center out of Westfield is a strong frame that continues to get better and better after each outing. He possesses soft feet and good hands when posting up. He has the ability to stay on balance when backing down an opponent and showed he can score with a jump hook over the left shoulder or he likes the quick spin to get him right at the basket where he’s looking to flush it. Defensively he does a good job staying vertical. He’s not the most athletic post player, but plays with his hands up and rebounds his area.

, a 6’10” 2027 Center from Westfield gets better every single time I see him. He is the type of player where I see his recruitment can get jump started by a good showing. Strong frame with good feet and good hands that really knows how to carve up space on the low block. Will be a huge piece this upcoming season for Westfield.

- You can tell he has started to make improvements as a player overall.
- A very patient big man with the ball in his hands. Uses good big man fundamentals to make plays win the post. Solid footwork overall. Just overthinks a little bit.
- High upside to be an elite rebounder as he gets more athletic.

We continue to like the trajectory of this 6’10” centers improvement. Vandegriff has continued to get himself in better shape and it has directly correlated to his play on the hardwood. On Tuesday night we saw a couple of impressive off-hand finishes from high-low passes on back-to-back possessions for the Westfield big man. He moves much better, has a soft finishing touch, and has a lot of upside as a true rim protector.

is one of the more physically big players you will see across the start and one that catches your attention when he walks into a gym. His sophomore season was sort of a mixed bag for him but he is expected to take on a much larger role come next season, starting in June. He is pretty consistent around the rim and can be an elite rebounder as well.

has some of the highest potential in the in-state 2026 class and even though his minutes were a little inconsistent, he showed some flashes of what is to come in the future. For this Westfield team, I view him an X-Factor when the Shamrocks face Fishers as he will be the biggest player on the floor and could be a huge advantage in the post if he is able to get going. He is pretty consistent around the rim and can be an elite rebounder as well. He could cause problems for the Fishers guards when they try to make plays at the rim.

As big as anyone in the class, Vandegriff turns some heads with his size right away. Standing at 6’10” with a big, strong build, the Westfield High School product checks a lot of boxes. He was getting some rotation minutes with the Shamrocks through the month of June and showed some flashes for Indiana Elite 3SSB 15u in the spring and summer. Right now he rebounds his area well, finishes at the rim, and is disruptive as a rim protector defensively. As he continues to grow into his size and move more fluidly his game could really take off in a hurry.
