Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
An ultimate utility piece for both Centerville and Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB , Rohrer competes at a high level regardless of opponent, time of game or stakes. A wing guard who is going to go balls to the wall at all times, Rohrer comes up with a lot of loose balls and makes impressive hustle plays. Centerville still has a deep 2027 class despite losing Sam to transfer and I’d still expect the Elks to be the early favorites in the GWOC.

An ultimate glue guy, Rohrer makes a bunch of plays that don’t show up in the stat sheet. I’ve been so impressed with Rohrer’s ability to transfer from a small town program where he was a leading scorer to becoming a complimentary scorer who plays with ultimate toughness and grit. Defensively Rohrer blocked a 3-point attempt and plays physical on ball defense. If you think Centerville is good this year, they should return their whole starting lineup next season.

Rohrer is a guard who played with a great of moxie whenever he stepped onto the floor. He showed that he can play on or off the ball. Rohrer was a threat to knock down shots from behind the arc. He is playing chess while every else and playing checkers and dissects the game on the fly. His ability to get wherever he wants on the floor. Rohrer is a prospect who should be on the radars of scholarship programs.

Fitting in well with Centerville’s chopping wood mentality, Rohrer has fit like a glove as a lead ball handler and facilitator for the Elks this summer. With a strong build, Rohrer doesn’t get pushed off his spots and when he gets to the paint he plays off two feet to stay on balance. I’ve been impressed with how Rohrer has impacted the game at a high level despite a massive step up in competition.

I caught Rohrer a few times playing up two age groups last summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit. It seems that experience has paid off for him as he’s been a standout for Midwest Basketball Club and has taken a big leap in his game. Finishing second in the Three Rivers Conference in points per game as a Sophomore, Rohrer had five 22+ point outings last season. What I’ve really noticed Rohrer taking a leap is with his athleticism, looking stronger and more explosive on the hardwood. One of the top small-town players in Ohio’s 2027 class, Rohrer is a sleeper who could break out either this summer or as a Junior and become a household name across southwest Ohio.

A double-digit PPG scorer as a freshman starting on varsity, Rohrer is a player who is used to playing against older competition. That made it no surprise to me that he made a big impact playing up two age groups on Friday night. One of the best defenders and athletes on the court, the motor Rohrer played with stood out. Forcing turnovers with his pressure and going hard after loose balls, Rohrer had some hustle plays to help his team walk away with a win. Combine this with a couple strong drives to the basket and two assists in crunch time and Rohrer was an easy choice for a standout player.
