<p>Today at the historic Hatchet House on the campus of Washington High School was the second annual Hatchet House Hysteria single-day shootout with matchups from every class in the state of Indiana. Unusual matchups along with some of the top players in the state in the same building made for an exciting day of Indiana High School Basketball. Here is a recap from all seven games from Hatchet House Hysteria:</p>

<p><strong>Game 1: Bethesda Christian vs Rock Creek Academy</strong></p>

<p>From the opening tip, to the last buzzer, Bethesda Christian controlled the game with their unselfishness, efficient offensive play, and their ability to turn Rock Creek Academy over. The Patriots jumped out to a 21-3 in the 1st Quarter and didn't look back as they defeated Rock Creek Academy 62-35 behind 6'7” Junior Big Man [player_tooltip player_id='3271821' first='Gavin' last='Grossman'] with 16 points. 6'1” Junior Guard Ayden Holton also in double figures with a balanced game with 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists in the win. Rock Creek Academy was led by the senior duo of Rashad Smith and Noah Martin with 10 points each. Martin also contributed seven rebounds and two blocks in the loss</p>

<p><strong>Game 2: Northeast Dubois vs Cascade</strong></p>

<p>A game of runs coming in both halves for each team ultimately decided this outcome. Senior Guard Adam Dooley and the Northeast Dubois Jeeps played a great first half leading 35-24 at the break with Dooley leading the way with 18 of his game high 23 points in the first half. Cascade made their run in the second half shooting over 50% from the floor and limiting their turnovers to defeat Northeast Dubois in comeback fashion 55-52. Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3271884' first='Rhyder' last='Williams'] led the way with 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. Senior Forward Brady Trebley finished with a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Guard Marcus Hobson came off the bench to score 13 points in the win.</p>

<p><strong>Game 3: Evansville Reitz vs Decatur Central</strong></p>

<p>A highly anticipated matchup that did not disappoint. Two teams with loads of talent and their stars came out and performed. Back and forth game with Reitz controlling most of the second half behind a big performance from Senior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2466252' first='Preston' last='Tolliver'] with 26 points and 10 rebounds. With a hot shooting performance in the second half by Decatur Central, the Hawks were able to make a 19-9 run to end the game to defeat Evansville Reitz 60-56. [player_tooltip player_id='2560619' first='Makeil' last='Baker'], [player_tooltip player_id='2892524' first='Elyas' last='Zapata'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2140420' first='Nash' last='Sigmund'] all with big time three-point shots to secure the victory. Zapata led four Hawks in double figures with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194347' first='Devin' last='Colbert'] followed with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. 6'6” Senior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2892521' first='Michael' last='Norton'] used a big second half to finish with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Baker also finished in double figures with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Freshman Wing [player_tooltip player_id='3254540' first='Grayson' last='Dease'] also in double figures for Reitz finishing with 18 points in the loss.</p>

<p>The long awaited arrival of [player_tooltip player_id='1760994' first='Dorion' last='Bowen'] was here for the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs, and he arrived in a big way leading the Bulldogs to a 77-40 victory over McCutcheon. The talented 6'6” Guard impacted the game on both ends finishing with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 steals. His presence opened up the floor for Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2172596' first='Marrius' last='Harris'] to play his natural position as a scoring guard and led all scorers with 20 points. Freshman Forward [player_tooltip player_id='3219910' first='Ethan' last='Hampton'] also had a productive day in double figures with 11 point, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks.</p>

<p><strong>Game 5: Evansville Harrison vs Washington</strong></p>

<p>Even matchup between teams still trying to figure out their identities. Washington with experience, but battling through injuries. Harrison is youthful, but has pieces to build around for the future. The youthful talent won out in this one as Harrison defeated Washington 54-51 behind a breakout game from Sophomore Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2821857' first='Amaury' last='Harrell'], who led the Warriors with 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. 6'5” Freshman F [player_tooltip player_id='2889976' first='Romyiez' last='Calvin'] finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds. 6'0” Freshman G [player_tooltip player_id='3253027' first='Aiden' last='Terry'] also in double figures for the Warriors with 12 points. Washington 6'1” Junior Wing Brody Armes did all he could for the Hatchets leading all scorers with 19 points and 6 rebounds in the loss.</p>

<p><strong>Game 6: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers vs Evansville Memorial</strong></p>

<p>For most of the first half it was a balanced game with both teams making plays. In the last 50 seconds of the half, Memorial went on a quick 6-0 run to lead 37-31 at the half and never really looked back. Bishop Luers tried to make a run late with some impressive shot making from Sophomore Duo of [player_tooltip player_id='2424067' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2560422' first='Zen' last='Szaferski'], but Memorial answered the run behind the Senior Backcourt Duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1560950' first='Dylen' last='Kendrick'] and JJ Lowery sealing the deal down the stretch to defeat Bishop Luers 71-60. Kendrick led all scorers with 21 points to go with 6 assists. JJ Lowery followed him with double figures with 13 points and 3 steals, including two steals back to back to leading to late scores. Senior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='1560976' first='Maxx' last='Anslinger'] had a balanced game for the Tigers finishing with 14 points and 8 rebounds. [player_tooltip player_id='2892479' first='Ayle' last='Taylor'] was brilliant in the first half for Bishop Luers. His mix of size and fluid athleticism gave Memorial some trouble scoring 12 of his 15 points in the first half. Sophomore Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2424067' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] led the Knights with 16 points and 6 rebounds in the loss.</p>

<p><strong>Game 7: Christel House vs Barr-Reeve</strong></p>

<p>In a game with differentiating styles, it started off like the Christel House speed and athleticism was giving Barr-Reeve fits as they jumped out to a 10-2 lead. Slowly but surely, the Vikings got comfortable, and once they got comfortable, they took off on the offensive end and the Eagles were at their mercy. Barr-Reeve spread the floor and used their ball movement to pick apart the Eagles while getting the shots they wanted. Behind Sophomore Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3148411' first='Jaylon' last='Graber']'s big time performance, the Vikings were able to run away from Christel House defeating them 56-40. Graber led all scorers with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Miller Thompson made key plays down the stretch finishing with 13 points and 3 rebounds. Junior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3045017' first='Kierson' last='Lengacher'] rounds out the double digit scorers with 11 points, hitting six straight free throws to seal the game. Christel House had one scorer in double figures in Senior Guard [player_tooltip player_id='1560953' first='David' last='Brigham Jr'] who finished with 11 points.</p>
