This under-the-radar guard from Decatur Central High School has gone from helping lead the Hawks to a Class 4A South Semi-State appearance straight into a strong spring with Indiana Jammers UA Rise 17u. Baker scored 19 or more points in four of six games at the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam including two 25 point performances. He is an athletic driver, skilled finisher, and good all-around playmaker.

Decatur Central features a very impressive primary six man rotation. Baker is one of three junior guards that turned in an impressive performance in Tuesday night’s 77-50 win over Indianapolis Lutheran. The 5’10” guard really turned it on in the fourth quarter as the Hawks pulled away. He scored 10 of his 17 points in the final period. Baker finished with three three-point shots and some impressive intermediate-range finishes.

Baker is a thin guard that attends Decatur Central High School. The 5’10” shooter made a corner three-point shot while we were evaluating Team 4 showcasing a quick release and sound footwork on the perimeter. He moves well without the ball, reads screening action well, and can make shots when moving off of the catch. Baker also showcased enough ball handling ability to act as a distributor at times as well.
