High School Spotlight: Decatur Central Hawks

We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. Coming off a really impressive season that saw them nearly reach Indianapolis, the Hawks return a strong core of guys. Leading the charge this season will be their two leading returning scorers — [player_tooltip player_id='2140420' first='Nash' last='Sigmund'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2560619' first='Makeil' last='Baker']. Together, these two bring back a combined 25.0 points per game. Sigmund is one of the best pure shooters in the state, while Baker is a playmaker with the ball in his hands.<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/levi-lindeman/"></a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2194347' first='Devin' last='Colbert']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/royce-bridgewaters/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Along with the returning production of the two players mentioned above, the Hawks also bring back rising senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194347' first='Devin' last='Colbert']. Colbert brings back 11.4 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game from his junior season. At 5'8", Colbert is an explosive playmaker who is a relentless driver and does such a good job of finishing against size when he gets to the rim.
