The Expo: Team 12 Evaluations

All of our events at Prep Hoops Indiana generate a lot of attention across the state. However, the growth of The Expo is a major point of pride for our team as we wrap up the summer. This year we double the size of the event bringing in nearly 120 prospects in the Classes of 2027 and 2028. Also, more than just the raw numbers, the level of talent was very impressive. We hosted over 40 Top 100 prospects today and had college coaches from the Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels in attendance. This was truly one of the best exposure events of the year that you could attend as a prospect.   As always, we will be unleashing a ton of content over the next week or so coming out of The Expo. We will have evaluations of every player in attendance post on a team-by-team basis. Also, top performers, new names, and more will be highlighted.   Below are evaluations on Team 12. Made a couple of smooth in-transition layups. His height presents serious matchup problems for opponents on both ends of the floor.     Brady Emerick really came alive during the third game, where he had a couple of three-point shots and was very instinctive with the ball in his hands. Finds open players on offense in transition. Split two defenders on a great drive to the basket in the first half of Game 3. Can scurry after loose rebounds under the rim.     Jarrett Harris was added to the team on the day of the event and he made a huge impact. Harris really stands out the most as a passer, with good instincts and ability to find open players in transition. Protects the ball and flashes good on-court awareness, sensing when defenders are close. Went coast-to-coast on a steal and score in game 1.     Josephat Kanyinda is simply on a different level than everyone else. He had several dunks on offense, taking the ball to the rim and using his height and arm length to be a serious matchup problem. He is a dominant center on defense, forcing turnvovers and blocking shots. Made a couple of pull-up jumpers from range, but is mostly in his wheelhouse around the rim.     Karter Keys made a high impact on offense, especially in the first game. He made three-straight 3-pointers from deep range, and he knows how to score. Keys is very good at driving to the basket and is also a good rebounder on defense. Smart, instinctive, high effort player who does well in both phases of the game. Made a couple of dunks and forced a steal in Game 3.     Jonah Mcguire stood out in Game 3 for his passing, especially with finding Kanyinda open down the court. Impressive, high-IQ player who makes good decisions with the ball in his hands.     Makeil Baker really came alive in Game 3. Had a sneaky drive and reverse layup in the last half of game 3, where he also added a three-point bucket. Very good at guarding in transition on defense, made a couple of no-look passes to Young in transition, and keeps his arms parallel to create steals.     Tamarje English is a problem on defense. He is a very good rebounder who can also make timely steals. Very high-impact player who can work through contact, drive to the basket and score layups in traffic. Really shined in the first game for his effort and tenacity, including on defense, where he blocked a three-pointer.     Jeremiah Davis is a player who is constantly on high-alert on defense. He is very fast with good speed and acceleration up the floor. Had a couple of steals in the first game, good passer who can quickly get the ball up the floor for open layups in transition. Good speed with good gear change.     What stands out about Makeil Baker is his abilities as a passer. Baker is very good at reading and reacting to what's ahead of him on the floor, quickly finding open men for easy buckets. He made a three-pointer in game 1.
