David Brigham Jr
About David
Expert Analysis
Logan Greenwell | Prep Hoops Scout
Physical guard that plays with good pace. Shifty handle that plays well with both hands. He has a quick first step to get in the lane and can take contact and stay in balance while finishing through or around length. Smooth release on the perimeter jumper. Always on balance and doesn’t force the issue. Defensively he’s an opportunistic defender that does a good job staying in front of his man, and doesn’t gamble unnecessarily.

It has been an excellent start to the season for this under-the-radar senior guard. Brigham Jr. essentially matched his early season average on Monday night pouring in 29 points to go with 7 rebounds as he led Christel House to a 68-55 win over Kipp Indy Legacy. His physical strength in the backcourt is impressive as is his ability to consistently create separation off of the bounce. Small college programs should continue to evaluate Brigham Jr. throughout the winter.

Reports coming out of Orlando at the NXT Pro Championships were that this strong, stocky, 6’1″ guard from Christel House Manual was playing very well for Circle City Shooters 17u. Brigham Jr. will end up being a four-year major contributor for his high school team. He is hard to handle off of the dribble due to being physically stronger than most other lead guards. His ability to play through contact and then bully defenders to finish inside is a trait that not a ton of other guards have. Heading into his senior season Brigham Jr. is an under-the-radar backcourt piece worth checking out.

Brigham Jr. has certainly been on our radar for a while dating back to when he put up impressive numbers as a freshman for the Eagles. Now, the physical 6’1″ guard is leading a team capable of making some postseason noise in Class 2A. The junior guard scored 15 points while pulling down 6 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists on Thursday night as Christel House “upset” Cardinal Ritter 80-71.

Brigham Jr. has quickly asserted himself as one of the more talented guards in Indiana’s Class of 2026. He is averaging 18.3 points per game to begin his career and has shot 8-19 from beyond the arc. Christel House has themselves a dynamic playmaker to pair with a solid senior class. Sectional 28 still runs through Beech Grove, but this team could be dangerous come tournament time featuring their freshman lead guard.
