Top Five Teams in Sectional 2

1. Germantown -- The depth, experience and talent at Germantown is impressive, to say the least. In addition to Jones and Walters, coach Kyle Fueger figures to count heavily on seniors Darrius Peete and [player_tooltip player_id='2833578' first='Dylan' last='Merryfield'].

2. Brookfield East -- the biggest key for Brookfield East might be the health of Platz. If the talented wing can stay healthy and productive, the Spartans could emerge as the team to beat in a Greater Metro that includes Germantown, Brookfield Central and Wauwatosa West, among others. [player_tooltip player_id='2500059' first='Zeke' last='Sawall'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2500862' first='Grant' last='Kooyenga'] are key pieces in addition to Platz.

3. De Pere -- When you mention top programs in the state, De Pere immediately comes to mind. Despite losing University of Wisconsin recruit Zach Kinziger to graduation, the Redbirds remain loaded. Krueger is the next likely star at the school, but seniors Jack Bookter and [player_tooltip player_id='2400924' first='Noah' last='Maniscalco'] have waited their turn and now are poised to take on huge roles.

4. Homestead -- Rogers and junior backcourt teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2140968' first='Oliver' last='Belot'] form a solid duo for the Highlanders, who boast impressive young talent with sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='2509484' first='Jaylen' last='Trotter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2398988' first='Nick' last='Grice'] also potentially playing key roles.

5. Arrowhead -- Resch and junior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2351196' first='Blake' last='Basich'] are talented returning starters as is junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2412856' first='Theo' last='Toepel']. Coach Craig Haase's group is again among the favorites to win the Classic Eight.

Sleeper Team

Oshkosh North -- Labeling this program as a sleeper seems odd considering all the success the Spartans have achieved over the years. But when you lose a player the caliber of 2025 Mr. Basketball Xzavion Mitchell to graduation, it may take two or three players to make up for his production.
