<p>Seven members of the Fox Valley Association highlight the 18-team field for Sectional 1 among WIAA Division 1 schools. The only FVA schools not included in Sectional 1 are Fond du Lac, Oshkosh North and Oshkosh West. Those three schools will compete in Sectional 2. <br><br>Following is a quick look at the top teams and top players for Sectional 1:</p>

<p><strong>Top Five Players in Sectional 1</strong><br><br>[player_tooltip player_id='1561939' first='Ethan' last='Joling'], 6-6, Sr., F, Hortonville<br>[player_tooltip player_id='1561925' first='Andrew' last='Jensen'], 6-9, Sr., F, Kaukauna (De Paul commit)<br>[player_tooltip player_id='1973149' first='Chris' last='Pohl'], 6-8, Sr., F, Marshfield<br>[player_tooltip player_id='2045262' first='Calvin' last='Anderson'], 6-6, Sr., F, Superior (Minnesota-Duluth commit)<br>[player_tooltip player_id='1561874' first='Nathan' last='Ramus'], 6-2, Sr., G, Appleton North<br><br><strong>Top Five Teams in Sectional 1</strong><br><br><strong>1. Marshfield </strong>-- The defending sectional champions and Division 1 state runners-up boast a pair of top-flight frontline performers in Pohl and [player_tooltip player_id='2381688' first='Valin' last='Ramberg'], who has committed to La Crosse. <br><br><strong>2. Appleton North</strong> -- Lots and lots of senior talent and experience, led by Ramus, [player_tooltip player_id='1561908' first='Grant' last='Hardy'], [player_tooltip player_id='1561879' first='Will' last='Sweeney'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1561876' first='Ben' last='Zdzieblowski']. <br><br><strong>3. Kaukauna </strong>-- Jensen is the most dominant big man in the sectional and one of the best in the state. His shot blocking and rebounding will be huge for Kaukauna, which also returns a part of sharpshooters in [player_tooltip player_id='2398517' first='Jonah' last='Roehrig'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2412456' first='Tyler' last='Schwalbach'].<br><br><strong>4. Neenah </strong>-- The Rockets may lack the individual star power of others in the sectional, but collectively Neenah could finish at the top. A deep, deep roster with players just waiting to have breakout seasons. <br><br><strong>5. Superior </strong>-- The Spartans boast a pair of four-year varsity performers in Anderson and Drew Eisle. <br><strong><br>Sleeper Team</strong><br><br><strong>D.C. Everest </strong>-- New coach Jake Schalow has a lineup much like that of Neenah. Lots of players who have waited their turn and are now primed to have big seasons.
