There may not be a team in the state that can match Wisconsin Lutheran’s size, so Appleton North will look to Ben to help slow them down inside. At 6’7 with a well-built frame, Ben isn’t afraid to play with physicality around the rim. Not only will his low-post defense be key, but they’ll look for him to attack missed shots off the rim and limit Wisco’s second chance scoring opportunities. From watching him with both his high school and AAU teams, it’s obvious that Ben is a competitor, and you can expect to see him go out and compete with toughness and grit on Friday night.
Ben is one of the best passings bigs in Wisconsin’s 2026 class. He’s at his best scoring the ball around the rim, but when out on the perimeter he sees the floor so well, and is able to use his 6’6 frame to zip in passes over the top of the defense to find an open man. Around the basket he’s not afraid of contact, and is going to look to bully defenders into deep position before going right over the top for two points. I really like the effort and energy he brings to the floor, and you’ll never see him take a possession off.
Ben is one of those players who makes an impact without even needing to touch the ball. He’s such a vocal presence on the floor, and on the bench, calling out screens and constantly communicating with his teammates. At 6’7 he has the size and strength to defend in the paint, but also works hard to defend smaller forwards when All Wisconsin goes with a bigger lineup. Offensively he’s a versatile piece because he’s a tremendous passer out of the block and on the perimeter, is developing a back-to-the-basket game, and can hit the open three. Helped lead his team to a win over Illinois Attack on Sunday morning.
Ben is a do-it-all forward for a talented All Wisconsin team. Over the past couple of seasons he’s shown he can step into just about any role that this team needs from him. Yesterday he showed flashes of just about everything he’s capable of, including some impressive passing. Ben dished out 7 assists in a win, zipping in passes from the perimeter and out of the post. Utilizes his size to see over the top of the defense and find his cutting teammates to the basket. Has the strength and size to power his way to the rim for finishes as well. Further stuffed the box score with a handful of rebounds to help his team defeat Minnesota Lightning.
Ben has some nice potential moving forward at Kimberly. At 6’5 he has good size but also is a mobile athlete who gets up and down the floor with ease and can switch out and defend on the wing when needed. Scored off of an impressive fadeaway jumper from the block with a hand right in his face, showcasing good footwork and shooting touch all in one. He’s very coordinated at 6’5 and I think that will allow him to continue picking up new skills as he already has a good base to work with.
