Appleton North graduates a strong 2026 class, and Ethan looks like a prime candidate to step into a key role next season. At 6’5 he’s an extremely versatile forward who was doing a little bit of everything for Team 1848 . He was rebounding hard, switched to defend just about every position on the floor, could handle it coast-to-coast, and scored the ball inside and out. Ethan was a 5.3 point per game scorer as a sophomore for Appleton North, and looks ready for a productive spring with Team 1848 .

Arft, who is poised to step into a much bigger role for 2026 state qualifier Appleton North, was outstanding in the two games I was able to watch on Saturday. The six-foot-five wing prospect is left-handed and does an excellent job finishing around the rim through some pretty physical contact against Team Compete . Arft can step out and shoot it too as he knocked down a deep triple and can score pretty much at any level. Arft was consistent this weekend and finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds in a come behind victory against Team Compete . Look for Arft to be a staple in the Lightning lineup for the next two seasons.

6’5 and has guard skills. More importantly, he is confident in his game and knows what he wants to do. He takes his time on offense and thinks through his moves as he attacks the basket or goes up for a shot, as he gauges the defender.

Arft had his hand in a great deal of impact plays for All Wisconsin on opening day. He did a great job protecting the paint on the defensive end. He had his head on a swivel seeing both the ball and his match up. His help made for tough contested shots for driving opponents. The six foot four wing has an impressive motor and is quick from end to end in transition. When attacking the basket he was surgical in the paint. What really stood out was his ability to finish strong through contact with either hand.
