About Blake
Expert Analysis
Ben Fiegel | Prep Hoops Scout
Blake has proved he is one of the best shooter in the state and his AAU experience has only accelerated his growth. Playing against elite competition throughout the spring and summer has forced him to become a smarter, more complete player. Every weekend, he faces athletic defenders who close out quickly and challenge every shot. Those experiences have sharpened his ability to create space, get his shot off under pressure, and stay confident no matter who is guarding him. With his high school team, he brings his amazing shooting and especially this weekend he showed it. While coming from an amazing club like Pro Lane Pro Lane WI , he is exposed to great coaches that have helped him become a better player.

Basich is all heart, grit, and is a winner. Blake does about everything it takes to will his team to wins by leading, being a bulldog on his matchup, rebounding, diving on loose balls, and hitting big shots. I was really impressed with Blake’s ability to get to the rim with his quickness and consistently knock down threes in transition. In addition to his scoring, Blake makes great reads to find cutters and kickouts, and when to drive in the slots in their dribble drive. If you are a fan of high school basketball, watching

A pass first point guard, Blake excels at setting up his Pro Lane teammates. He’s quick on the ball and able to get into dangerous areas on the floor to create in the half-court. In the games I watched he was forcing help defenders to step in on him before quickly dishing it off to an open man. Made good decisions out in transition and also utilized his quickness on the defensive end to pressure opposing guards.

Basich was the floor general and offensive engine for Davis Bros Elite. His leadership, sharp decision-making, and three-level scoring ability gave his team consistency and structure. Whether directing traffic, creating his own look, or facilitating for teammates, Basich kept the offense humming. He was a true extension of the coaching staff on the court.
