Carmel @ North Central

There probably isn't a more talented 1-3 team in the state of Indiana than this North Central squad. Led by unsigned senior guards [player_tooltip player_id='1297108' first='Papi' last='Rivera'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1297098' first='Nijah' last='Jewell'], the Panthers have the firepower to beat anyone. However, a very tough schedule has led to their less-than-stellar start on paper. They have lost to Crispus Attucks, Terre Haute North, and Cathedral so far this season. Rivera and Jewell average 16.5 points and 16.0 points per game respectively while junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561112' first='Gavin' last='Petty'] adds 13.5 points per game. He is a prospect to watch this season. On the Carmel side, the Greyhounds are 3-1 after dropping their first game of the season last Friday at Noblesville. Huntington signee [player_tooltip player_id='1296972' first='Alex' last='Couto'] and Indiana Junior All-Star candidate [player_tooltip player_id='1560952' first='Evan' last='Harrell'] are the players to watch for Carmel. Which ever team controls the pace to their liking could come away with the win.

Evansville Central @ New Albany

We spent some time in the preseason preparing folks for the leap Evansville Central was ready to make this season. As we predicted, they are off to a 4-1 start, which includes an impressive win over Terre Haute North, and their lone loss is to Daviess County (KY). Evansville Central features a three-headed monster of seniors including [player_tooltip player_id='2466228' first='Zaryen' last='Moore'], [player_tooltip player_id='2245724' first='Daveon' last='Smith'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1297082' first='Landyn' last='Richason']. Fellow senior Kyler Hill has played well to begin the season as well. New Albany is 3-0 so far led by seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2276379' first='Chris' last='Lampkins'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2391235' first='Rylan' last='Schrink'] along with superstar freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2382148' first='Noah' last='Washington']. For those down on the Ohio River this will be the game to watch on Friday night.

Hamilton Southeastern @ Fishers

This game will be played at the brand new 7,000 seat Fishers Event Center which will likely be full for the Mudsock rivalry matchup. You can always throw out the records and rankings when these two teams get together. Class 4A #1 Fishers, the defending state champions, are off to an impressive 5-0 start with dynamic sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2267046' first='Jason' last='Gardner Jr.'] leading the way averaging 16.8 points and 3.8 assists per game. Miami (OH) signee [player_tooltip player_id='1297069' first='Justin' last='Kirby'] adds 12.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] chips in 11.0 points and 3.6 assists per game. Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1297097' first='Nathan' last='Baker'], [player_tooltip player_id='1525682' first='Millen' last='McCartney'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1525664' first='JonAnthony' last='Hall'] are all major contributors as well. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they have won three straight to get to 3-2 on the season. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2056301' first='Braeden' last='Totton'] is averaging 15.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1561009' first='Luke' last='Weemer'] adds 14.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. This is always a fun one.

Homestead @ Bishop Luers

Prep Hoops Indiana will head up to Fort Wayne on Friday evening to provide boots on the ground coverage of Bishop Luers versus Homestead. Bishop Luers, led by Central Michigan commits [player_tooltip player_id='1749047' first='Dereon' last='Truesdale'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1749046' first='Drelyn' last='Truesdale'], are ranked #1 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 2A Poll. They are 3-0 to begin the season with wins exclusively over 3A and 4A schools. Homestead is 4-2, but just a couple of possessions away from being 6-0. They lost 62-60 in overtime to a very good Warsaw team and then dropped a surprising one, 58-55, at New Haven. Sophomore wing [player_tooltip player_id='2140416' first='Mack' last='Welker'] along with seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1278399' first='Wyatt' last='Weaver'], [player_tooltip player_id='2485712' first='Josh' last='Rodgers'], and others. If you are in the Fort Wayne area this will be the game to come to this evening.

Jeffersonville @ Silver Creek

This is as fun of a matchup as you'll find in southern Indiana. Jeffersonville is playing without Northwestern signee [player_tooltip player_id='1388408' first='Tre' last='Singleton'], but the dynamic duo of Wright State recruits [player_tooltip player_id='1297093' first='Michael' last='Cooper'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1373104' first='P.J.' last='Douglas'] still has carried them to a 3-2 start and #6 ranking in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 4A Top 10. Meanwhile, Silver Creek checks in at #5 in the Class 3A Poll as they are 6-0 on the season. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1385611' first='Kasen' last='Daeger'] has been excellent for the Dragons while sophomore point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140328' first='Brandon' last='Hunter'] is averaging a near triple-double. Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='1561483' first='Dane' last='Sprigler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2476482' first='Dane' last='Caldwell'] are two more players to watch for Silver Creek.
