About Noah
Expert Analysis
Doneah Marshall | Prep Hoops Scout
Noah’s name has been well known across KY and IN for many years now, but his growth remains steady in an upward trajectory. He led New Albany to a Class 4A Final Four this past season, earning All-Conference and IBCA underclassmen honors along the way. Since then, he’s played a big role for Indy Heat on the EYBL circuit thus far. He already holds several Power 4 offers and interest in addition to nods from the likes of USA Basketball amongst other accolades. He’s the highest ranked recruit in a loaded Kentuckiana area in ESPN’s latest 2028 rankings, coming in at #38 in the nation.

Washington has transitioned very smoothly to Indy Heat 16u and was a big part of a pair of wins on Saturday at the Battle of the Brands. The 6’5″ guard had 20 points in their first victory and then 16 points laster in the evening in another win. His size, length, and athleticism in the backcourt is very hard for opposing guards to deal with.

The National 4-Star sophomore put together one of the most impressive 4th Q scoring performances I have ever seen. Beginning the last period with just six points and no made field goals, he completely took over the game scoring 20 of his team high 26 points. He’s a smooth offensive talent that trusts the work he puts in. He may seem to take tough shots, but he makes a lot of tough shots. At 6’5”, he’s able to elevate over essentially any matchup that guards him. Big time scorer it’s big time talent with his best basketball still ahead of him.

It doesn’t take a seasoned basketball scout to recognize why this 6’5″ sophomore guard is considered a four-star prospect nationally in the Class of 2028. Washington was held to just four points in the first half, but was able to find his grove in the second half finishing with a team-leading 18 points. However, New Albany fell to Fishers 81-60. His shot-making and fluid athleticism, while playing against one of the best teams in the Midwest, is really impressive for a sophomore.
