The physical lead guard was the perfect complimentary player to Stoudemire for the Bulldogs showing his scoring prowess on and off the ball. He was able to get free several times for open catch and shoot 3’s as well as being able to get two feet in the paint whenever he wanted to and scored at a high clip at the rim on his way to a 17 point outing in the win. He’s a tenacious defender that put heavy pressure on the ball using his physicality to his advantage while staying out of foul trouble.

The New Albany Bulldogs have a very strong resume with six regular season games left to go. They are 13-4 on the season with all four of those losses coming to Top 10 teams in the state. On Saturday afternoon they dominated Columbus East 81-55 on the back of 20 points from unsigned senior TJ Washington TJ Washington 5'10" | PG New Albany | 2026 State IN . Washington came out of the gate hot for New Albany and went on to make three three-point shots on the night. However, his 17 points proved to not be enough for the Bulldogs in this one. They fell to an excellent Fishers team 81-60 in the championship game of the Fishers Holiday Hoops Classic. This 5’10” unsigned senior guard is a talented offensive player having a very good season for a successful New Albany team.

Stocky guard that has a knack for scoring the ball. He’s confident with the ball in his hands. Loves to get downhill where he can finish in crafty ways. Really good shooter off the catch that can get hot in a hurry.

Washington has been one of the top shooters for New Albany High School each of the last two seasons. After shooting 33-71 (46.5%) from three-point range as a junior, Washington will be relied heavily upon once again within a talented backcourt as a senior. However, he is more than just a shooter. Washington can play on the ball as well serving as a playmaker to take some pressure off a couple of the Bulldogs’ top players. His ranking increased from #163 to #146 during this update.

This Washington for New Albany has flown under the radar but is definitely a guard worth following in southern Indiana in the Class of 2026. He played very well against Jeffersonville on Wednesday night knocking in some tough catch-and-shoot three-point shots, showcasing some quickness off of the bounce, and displaying his all-around playmaking ability. Washington finished with 16 points in the loss for the Bulldogs.

Washington was the guy giving Team Wildcat HGSL the most trouble from Kentucky Ambition in the quarterfinals. Knocking down two early 3-pointers, those shots gave Kentucky Ambition an early lead. Despite his size, Washington had a couple buckets in the paint off drives and his team made some nice extra passes to get open looks. I thought the guards on Kentucky Ambition were productive with a lot of dribble drive action that led to shots at the rim or kickouts.
