Jones is one of the players that will look to step up and produce for Jeffersonville this upcoming season and he looked like he could fill some of void. He is recently coming off a lower body injury so while he is not up to full speed yet, he did some nice things off the ball for the Red Devils. Made a few really nice cuts off the ball and though his baseline work was solid.

was in action for one of the Indiana Elite 16u teams at The Stage over the weekend and man, he was impressive. When it comes to pure playmakers, I thought he was one of the better ones I saw on the weekend. His court vision on the on-ball play was pretty spot on with his ability to facilitate and score in the lane. He showed a lot of fluidity as a player and you can expect him to have a big summer.

It was tough for the defense to stay in front of Jones as his quick first step and ability to attack going either direction made him tough to stop at the point of attack. While Jones could attack going either direction, he preferred to use his right hand at the rim when finishing. Defensively, Jones wanted to pressure the basketball which led to one steal and breakaway score in transition.

. Before Jones steps into a bigger role for the Red Devils this season, he was showing his talents here at our event on Sunday. He showed elite quickness off the ball and was one of the best slashers on the day. Jones also displayed great bounce and was making a few athletic plays throughout the camp as well. There is a ton of upside in this prospect.

Jeffersonville was a Top 20 team in the state last season that got hot at the right time and nearly made it all of the way to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Now, they have some very legitimate preseason #1 buzz after their undefeated showing at the Charlie Hughes Showcase. Jones got his feet wet in 19 games at the varsity level as a freshman, but now looks poised to take on more responsibility. The talented 6’0″ guard was a standout at the recent MADE Hoops Midwest High School Academy.

was a rotation piece for the Red Devils his freshman year and that experience is only going to make him better. Jones is a fast player that is active on both ends of the floor. Like the way he can push the pace and let his athletic ability be an advantage. A player to keep an eye on.

Cracking the varsity rotation at the Class 4A level as a freshman is not an easy task. That is especially true at a place like Jeffersonville with some very talented, established older guys on a team that was just a few seconds away from reaching the State Finals. However, Jones, a 6’0″ guard, appeared in 19 games gaining valuable experience in his first season of high school basketball.

Jeffersonville is still playing in the Semi-State, so it remains to be seen if Jones will actually be in the building or not on Sunday, but it shows how much of a gym rat he is to even sign up for this event. He has played a valuable role off of the bench for a talented, veteran Red Devils team that will take on Lawerence North in Saturday’s Class 4A South Semi-State at New Castle High School. Their junior class captures a lot of the headlines, but Jones will be a name to remember for years to come at Jeffersonville.
