Expert Analysis
Anthony Fortuna | Prep Hoops Scout
Grayson Grubbs caught my attention after he timed a jump perfectly on a lob and threw it down with authority. It was an impressive play from the 6’6” small forward. He also runs the floor quite well and does a nice job of high-pointing rebounds. In addition to those skills, he uses his length on the defensive end to be disruptive and alter shots.

Scouting Notes: Grubbs is a good athlete at his position with the length and footwork to guard multiple positions on any given possession. Tough finisher around the rim. Good mobility for his size.

has a chance to draw some looks as well. Another out-of-state transfer that is on track to make an impact for his new team this season, Grubbs is a good athlete at his position with the length and footwork to guard multiple positions on any given possession. He is a legit 6’6 prospect that will help take some pressure off of Washington this season. Looking forward to seeing what he can do against a tough Plainfield team.

Grubbs comes to New Albany from across the river in Louisville and will add some valuable front court depth to a very talented Bulldogs team. He was an impactful addition in June and should fit in seamlessly this winter. The 6’6″ forward moves around well for his size, rebounds his area, and can score in a variety of ways offensively.

We will absolutely need to continue to see Grubbs play more to get a more thorough evaluation on him, but we wanted to go ahead and include him in this latest rankings update. The 6’6″ big man transferred in to New Albany High School from Trinity in Louisville. Grubbs is a good athlete at his position with the length and footwork to guard multiple positions on any given possession. It will certainly be a priority of ours to get a good evaluation of Grubbs this coming weekend at the Charlie Hughes Showcase.
