Logan Greenwell | Prep Hoops Scout
Ashton was the most athletic player on the floor in Session 1 and he showed it. Had a number of highlight reel dunks as well as crafty finishes at the rim around defenders. Also was a difference maker on the defensive end with his pressure. Didn’t shoot it well from distance, but the lefty combo guard shows a clean stroke with good elevation on his pull-up jumper.

This left-handed lead guard has really impressed us over the course of the last few weeks. First he stood out for New Albany High School at the Charlie Hughes Showcase and then he went off for 25 points in a win for Indiana Elite – Wetzel 16u at the Adidas Invitational on Saturday. He is so quick and shifty with the ball in his hands, makes tough shots off of the dribble, and creates well for his teammates. McKee has really emerged as an under-the-radar Class of 2027 prospect of late.

It was an absolute flurry of defensive stops as soon as McKee checked into the game on Saturday. In his first rotation alone he collect 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocked shots. McKee was genuinely all over the floor and changed the game for New Albany who was, at the time, losing to Penn but went on to win the game. His active level and quickness really stood out.

McKee is a 5’11” floor general in the Class of 2027 and one of the few exciting young prospects for New Albany High School that were in attendance for the Prep Hoop sIndiana Sophomore ID Camp. He is very quick on the ball and really likes to push the pace in transition. I thought he showed good hands on defense while consistently jumping the passing the lanes and doing everything with a high motor. The left-handed twin between he and his brother Reece, Ashton is a dynamic playmaker.

One of the two talented Mckee twins at New Albany High School. The left-handed point guard is very smooth with the ball in his hands showcasing a tight handle and very quick change of direction. he has a great right-to-left crossover that he uses to get into the teeth of the defense. One to follow in the years to come.
