One of the top prospects in the Indiana class of 2028 that I was able to get eyes on was Chandon Gilbert Chandon Gilbert 6'5" | SF Lawrence North | 2028 State IN of Lawrence North HS. Coming off the bench for Indy Heat 16u, he right away impressed with his willingness to defend when the rest of the Indy Heat team struggled on that end. Gilbert is a long, athletic prospects that can be a problem in the lane and around the basket. Has all the physical tools you want out of a high-end wing.

The intriguing 2028 wing from Lawrence North plays the game with loads of versatility. Has the offensive game that allows him to play all over the floor. He’s a capable shooter that demands respect on the catch. He could be more aggressive as a driver, but when he does he possesses a soft touch and an array of moves that make him a difficult cover. He’s a fluid athlete that runs the floor well. When the motor is running hot, he’s able to impact the game in both ends of the floor with his length and athleticism.

Our Sophomore ID Camp just keeps getting better and better. We are getting close to having about half of our ranked Class of 2028 prospects in attendance, but Gilbert is our first Top 10 prospect to sign up. The 6’5″ wing with a smooth catch-and-shoot stroke looked good this summer for Lawrence North High School after transferring from Warren Central.

Gilbert gained valuable varsity experience from day one of his freshman season at Warren Central High School. Now, as a sophomore, the 6’5″ wing will suit up for Lawrence North High School. He fit in very nicely at the Charlie Hughes Showcase this June shooting the ball well from beyond the arc for the Wildcats. Look for him to be an instant-impact piece this coming season.

Quite a bit of upside at the wing spot. Is comfortable handling it as well. Can stretch the defense out with size and shooting ability. Spotted up for 3 in the secondary break option a couple times. Presents a challenge defensively on smaller guards. Incoming Sophomore will affect a lot of games over next 3 years.
