A big scoring wing who continues to improve as he gets stronger, Everett is a high upside player who has potential to be the top long term player in the class. Stuart can shoot the ball well and has started consistently playing above the rim. This could be a breakout weekend for the big from Lexington Catholic.

Orem’s AAU teammate, Everett has maybe the most potential of anyone in the class. Standing almost 6’10” and able to shoot nearly 40% from three, Stuart has a chance to be really, really good. Path forward, Everett needs to continue getting stronger if he wants to reach his ceiling but he is a matchup nightmare with his size and skill set.

Everett had a good season for Lexington Catholic, averaging 13 points and 5 rebounds per game. The next step is going to be continuing to add muscle to his frame and getting more comfortable taking contact on drives. Stuart shot 33% from three and 43% overall this season while playing a lot on the perimeter. If he is an active rebounder this summer, some coach will fall in love with Stuart’s long term potential.

Everett is one of the most intriguing players in the Sophomore class and has some serious potential. Averaging 14 points per game, Stuart is using improved strength to get more effective at attacking the rim and finishing through contact. In order to take the next step in his development, Everett needs to become a more active rebounder at his size.

The host Lexington Catholic dominated on Saturday as Stuart was one of the top players on the court. With excellent positional size in the zone defense Lexington Catholic plays, Stuart jumped a couple passes in the full court press which led to quick layups at the other end. Stuart has long strides which help him in transition extend past the defense. I also was encouraged by his ball handling in the half-court, making some PNR reads to his forward teammates rolling to the rim. After missing badly on his first 3-point attempt of the day, Stuart knocked down a nasty one dribble pull-up from above the break that shows his perimeter shooting potential. One of the more talented 2028 prospects in all of Kentucky, Stuart is a name who should be on Division I radars this summer.

Stuart has the most potential of any player in the 43rd district. Thanks to his blend of size and skill, Everett is a mismatch for opposing teams. He tends to settle for jumpers more than he should on offense but Stuart has the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim too. With his skill set, Stuart could be a D1 recruit by this time next year.

Stuart is on top of my list of players who have a lot to show this high school season. Blessed with great size as a stretch big, Everett could be a gigantic X factor in Lexington if he turns the corner in his development. He has all the tools to be a big wing or stretch big. Catholic typically doesn’t play younger players a ton but they will need Stuart to be good right away this season if they want to push Station, Douglass and Madison Central for the regional crown. Keep an eye on Everett in both the long and short term.

Looking for a player with big time potential? Stuart is long and skilled and still only 15 years old. He’s got to get stronger but Everett has great range on his jumper and shoots it with confidence. His overall athleticism has to improve but that should be expected as he stops growing and gets stronger. Everett is right outside the top ten right now but is top 5 in terms of potential. He just has to reach it.

One of the most improved players I’ve seen from the high school season, Stuart’s confidence is night and day different from his freshman season. Ball handling and confidence seem to be the two biggest factors that have allowed Stuart to impact the game at a higher level this weekend. I was impressed with Stuart’s confidence with his off hand, making a coupe drive and finishes with his left hand. Finally, Stuart knocked down a corner 3-pointer off a nice BLOB set. Everett has a high ceiling as a stretch forward. He’s skilled and can shoot the three but will need to add bulk to his frame as he moves forward. Stuart is a big part of the future at Lexington Catholic and can be a D1 prospect if he continues to develop his game. Beyond adding bulk, Everett needs to get more active as a rebounder at this size. Long term, the 6’7 forward’s prospect ceiling is a high as anyone in the 2028 class.
