The 2028 class in Kentucky is one of the deeper ones that we have seen since Prep Hoops Kentucky launched over a decade ago. There's size and athleticism at every position. There are big time shooters. There are nationally ranked players and nearly 20 players with D1 offers already. In this latest update, there has been a LOT of movement as some kids have started to make their move towards the top while others are starting to fall behind. Here's a breakdown of the top 5 players in this update.

Josh remains on top of the rankings in this update. He's having a really solid summer and has such high level potential that he is a big time national recruit. Over the next two years, I think Lindsay's development hinges on if he is allowed to be more ball dominant as a point guard. With all his athletic ability and skills, becoming an elite playmaker is the natural next step for a player who is one of the best to come through Louisville in a long time.

Another of the best talents to come through the 502 in recent years, Jordan has great size at the point guard position. I remain intrigued by his spot in college because I think Mitchell is an underrated passer who can really facilitate at a high level. He's a very high level passer in the full court too. I've seen him throw some absolute dimes in transition. Jordan would be the top prospect in most Kentucky classes and is right on Lindsay's heels to be the top dog in 2028.

Anyone wondering who the Junior with the highest upside in Kentucky is, look no further than Jordan "Boogie" Cook. Boogie checks every box as a prospect and has elite level athleticism to go with a legitimately big frame. Cook will frustrate you sometimes because his motor is not always elite but when he decides to be the best player on the court, he is. If Cook can reach his ceiling, we will be talking about him as an NBA player in the future.

One of the biggest stock risers in this update, Everett moves from 10th up to 4th. Standing a legit 6'9" and possibly still growing, Stuart has the ability to stretch the floor with shooting but has gotten much better with his ball handling and is more comfortable attacking the rim instead of being a catch and shoot player. With his size and upside, Everett has been one of the hottest names in Kentucky in the last few months and could see P4 offers coming soon.

I have a soft spot in my heart for players like Grayson who impact the game in different ways. If Burton wanted to go and score 30 per game, he could. Instead, he works to make those around him better with his playmaking and showcased how much more athletic he has become over the last few years. Now playing above the rim and rebounding at a high rate Grayson is another who should see the P4 coaches come calling in the near future.
