About Josh
Expert Analysis
Steve Quattrocchi | Prep Hoops Scout
Josh retains the top spot in the class and has an important next 12 months ahead of him in his development and recruiting. Lindsay is one of the most explosive players in the state and has plenty of highlights from this past season. He probably needs to move to point guard full time at St. X next year and get more comfortable as a facilitator and creator but Josh has a super high ceiling.

Our top ranked prospect in 2028, Lindsay continues to level up his game this season and was the best player on the court in this battle of the titans in the opening round. Lindsay started the game with an immediate paint touch and two foot finish to open the scoring. Going 5/6 from long distance, Lindsay hit a pull-up 3-pointer when a defender went under a screen and multiple 3-pointers on the wing off the catch. Lindsay also capped off the win with a 3-pointer from the corner to put the game on ice. One of the highest flying guards in the country, Lindsay had a couple monster transition dunks and almost took the roof off Rupp with a missed dunk that would’ve been one of the best I’ve seen in person. , St. X has several guys that can go off. Josh, however, has been on a tear as of late, leading the Tigers in the month of February with 16.8 PPG and 4.2 RPG on 58% overall shooting. Although one of the most athletic players in the nation, those who’ve followed his game this season understand that he’s evolved to be much more than just a dunker. Josh has the means to knock down shots at a high rate and his ability to create space off the dribble is just as underrated.

The most complete offensive game from Lindsay out of the four I’ve seen this season. Scoring 33 points and looking confident on the ball as a creator, Lindsay had multiple self-created drive and finishes, which is something I’ve been wanting to see more often from Lindsay. Athletically, Lindsay lived above the rim all game and had three dunks in the final minute to cap off a dominant effort.

Lindsay retains his spot on top of the class rankings but there are others who are starting to make a push for that #1 spot. Lindsay has really impressed with his shooting this season, knocking down over 40% of his threes so far for the Tigers. The most surprising thing is that Josh is not getting to the free throw line more often. With his athleticism and skill, I’d expect he would be living at the line, converting and-1 opportunities.

The leading scorer in a battle of top teams in Kentucky, Lindsay was once again a standout performer in a key St Xavier win. Maybe the most athletic guard in Kentucky, Lindsay is also knocking down 3-point shots off the catch at a high percentage. Lindsay also had a nasty pull-up 3-pointer from the top of the key and had a crazy alley-oop layup through traffic. Louisville St Xavier continues to impress and could be viewed as a favorite to win the King of the Bluegrass tournament.

A productive weekend for Lindsay who made 3-point shots and threw down some unbelievable alley-oop dunks in each contest Vs Nike Scholastic programs in his home gym. Lindsay’s shot-making ability has been really impressive to watch as not only was he knocking down shots off the catch but he hit a couple one and two dribble pull-ups as well. I’ll be very curious to see how Lindsay fares as a primary ball handler next season with the graduation of

Josh is a prospect unlike most we’ve seen in Kentucky over the last decade plus. The term “freak athlete” gets tossed around too liberally but Lindsay is just that. He can run, jump, etc better than 99.9% of the planet. His skill level continues improving too. Josh has several high major offers already and is still only a Sophomore.

In my opinion, the gap between Josh and everyone else is widening. Lindsay is one of the best athletes to come through the state in my time covering it. He’s also continuing to improve as a shooter and ball handler. Hyper-competitive, Josh is always at camps and events and consistently among the best players at every event he attends.

Another camp, another top performance. Lindsay’s consistency is impressive. He could coast through camps if he wanted to or not even show up but he’s always there. He always competes and he’s always impressive. It’s easy to see how Josh was just ranked in the top 20 in America in 2028.
