Cameron did an excellent job of getting to the rim on Wednesday, taking all 11 of his field-goal attempts from inside 3-point range. An excellent left-handed finisher at the rim, Cameron had some sweet finishes off euro-steps and even had a quick lefty scoop on the right side of the rim. Cameron also was second in the game in assists with a couple of sweet outlet passes in transition. Great performance under the bright lights by Cameron.

“Chief” couldn’t be a more perfect nickname for Cameron’s productivity and style of play. He is the definition of a captain that leads by example. An absolutely relentless defender who comes up with multiple steals every time he steps on the court. His keen ability to disrupt an offensive flow parallels his responsibility of running the show as St.X’s primary facilitator. Chief also doubles as a scorer as needed both from his defensive effort and his ability to knock down shots or create open space. As one of five players who averaged double figures through St. X’s dominant 7th Region tournament run, he put the full gamut of his abilities on display.

Cameron will be tasked with applying pressure on the aforementioned Athens McGillis Athens McGillis 5'11" | PG/CG Covington Catholic | 2026 State KY on Wednesday morning. “Chief” is a dynamic point guard who gets downhill in a hurry and makes those around him better. A winning player that can absolutely lock down on defense, Cameron is a great athlete and a floor raiser for his team.

“Chief” is a very versatile point guard who is the engine that drives the Saint X engine. Cameron is a player who impacts the game in several ways. He’s a great on ball defender and can facilitate an offense or create his own shot. While Chief has had some offers over the last year or so, it sounds like his recruitment is open and he would be a steal for an in-state D2 or NAIA.

“Chief” is one of the best players in Kentucky that no one seems to talk about. Cameron is probably the most valuable player on the St. X roster and it’s not uncommon for him to lead the team in points, rebounds and assists in a game.

Cameron was unbelievable on Sunday evening, literally willing his team to a victory over Tennessee Collegiate Academy. Cameron was flying around the court and is in excellent shape as his motor never stopped for the full 32 minutes. Finishing some incredible layups at the rim, Cameron had a couple sick reverse layups and despite being the smallest player on the floor had multiple putback layups. Looking much more confident to create and get places off the dribble on Sunday than he did on Saturday, Cameron was the engine that St Xaiver needed to get a marquee win over a nationally ranked team. Definitely a target for regional small college programs, Cameron should help put his name on some more radars with this performance.

Chief made a huge impact on both ends of the court, all summer long. With the ability to guard for 94 feet and push the pace on offense as well, Cameron is going to be the engine that drives St. Xavier all season long. In the AAU season, Chief went up against top notch guards from around the country and more than held his own. It remains to be seen what level of player he ends up at but Cameron is 100% a scholarship player.

Wilder’s former teammate at St. X, “Chief” was really good all day long at camp. Cameron doesn’t get sped up and doesn’t force his offense. A prototype point guard, Chief is continuing to impress with his ability to get paint touches on offense and stop opposing guards from getting paint touches. His college stock continues to trend way up.

More commonly known by his nickname of “Chief”, Cameron is primed for a huge breakout at Saint X this coming season. The point guard moved up from 45th to 27th in this update and could continue trending up. “Chief” goes from 74th to 45th in this update and has been a huge part of the Tigers run to Rupp Arena. Capable of playing on or off the ball. Cameron has wreak havoc on opposing guards with his ability to pressure the ball and turn people over. He’s also a good finisher at the rim.
