Sprigler may not get the same normal recognition as his Division I bound teammates, but we cannot overlook what he did on Friday night for Silver Creek. We watched the unsigned senior score 7 points to go with 5 steals in their morning victory over Shortridge. However, Sprigler went off for 29 points including nine three-point shots as the Dragons beat Harrison (West Lafayette) 81-51.
The senior guard is the man the seemingly runs the show for Dragons just making things happen when they need to. Got a chance to watch him in-person vs Bedford and it is pretty apparent that Sprigler is a do-it-all type of guard. He gets to the basket well while using his length and pairs it with a very smooth jumper. He benefits extremely well off the defense trying to contain Daeger, Caldwell, and Hunter. He carried over what he did vs Bedford on Saturday to great performance at the Hall of Fame Classic.

Sprigler scored 7 of Silver Creek’s 9 first quarter points and had 17 of their 26 at the half. He was nearly single-handily keeping them in the game to that point. Surrounded by three Division I players he often doesn’t get the credit or recognition that he deserves, but the 5’11” senior guard has plenty of game. He is an outstanding outside shooter and can create for himself off of the bounce. Sprigler finished with 20 points for the Dragons in a 76-65 loss to Crown Point.

With three Division I prospects and a ton of depth right now at Silver Creek High School it can be easy to forget that Sprigler was the second leading scorer on last season’s team. Sprigler averaged 15.4 points per game for the Dragons and proved himself as one of the top catch-and-shoot threats in the state finishing an incredible 70-132 (53.0%) from three-point range. Small college programs should continue to be all over this 5’11” guard that can play both on or off of the ball at the next level.

. He is on the shorter end as a guard but is a big time playmaker and can hold his own in the scoring department as well. Playing with 3 D1 prospects makes him better as well as him making those guys better as well.

Playing alongside three teammates with multiple Division I offers, it can be hard to remember that Sprigler was the second leading scorer on last season’s Silver Creek team. The 5’11” guard is a big-time shot-maker and that was on display Friday morning against Lawrence North. He was not sped up by the size, length, and athleticism of the Wildcats and calmly knocked down several three-point shots in the game. Sprigler should be one of the top small college guard prospects in the Class of 2026.

We didn’t get a chance to see Sprigler any this spring so it was good to see him on the floor with Silver Creek High School on Friday at Purdue. The 5’11” guard shot it very well from three-point range both off the catch and the dribble. There is no shortage of talent on the Dragons’ roster, but don’t forget that this rising senior guard was their second leading scorer last season. Small college programs definitely will want to be on him in the coming months.

It wasn’t Sprigler’s best game of the season, the Dragons second leading scorer (16.0 points per game), finished with “just” 11 points. However, he really picked it up down the stretch as Silver Creek tried to come back and get over the hump against Seymour. His shot-making ability remains impressive and he is consistently impactful on the defensive end of the floor as well. Look for him to become one of the more sought after small college guards over the course of the spring and summer.
