Kyler Staley | Prep Hoops Scout
- Offers: None listed
- Player Traits: Tough jumper shooter, strong, active defender, explosive on dribble, quick on ball, athletic
- My Quick Thoughts: We talked about his North Central back court buddy Papi Rivera in part one so it is only fair that we talk about Nijah as well. He is arguably one of the best 2025 in-state prospects to yet have a listed offer, which is a little bit surprising. He has a very interesting tool set on the court but no matter, plays with a high motor. He has earned some college interest.

- Showed some tough jumpers vs Ben Davis
- Was real active on the defensive end, very handsy and pesky. Overall is a willing defender
- A player that is tough to stop once he gets in his groove

Jewell had an excellent weekend for Progeny UA Rise 2025. The 6’1″ guard from North Central High School displayed some legitimate explosiveness off of the dribble getting to the rim and then elevating up to the finish. His aggressiveness in the backcourt constantly puts opposing defenders on their heels.

Jewell was one of the more physically stronger guards I saw over the weekend. Can play both on and off the ball well and knocks down big shots. Lot of upside in him this summer for Progeny.

North Central High School is going to have a talented backcourt this season. Jewell, a 6’1″ junior guard, was excellent on Sunday night scoring 23 points in a game that I watched. He is a very good three-point shooter with a smooth, quick, and repeatable stroke off of the catch. Jewell is also athletic enough to get into the paint off of the dribble and finish both all the way at the rim and with a variety of floaters and little pull-ups in the intermediate range. Talented all-around offensive player.

Jewell was a big part of Progeny 2025 finishing first place in their pool with a 4-0 record. The ultra quick guard got to the rim consistently, especially early in the weekend with back-to-back double-digit scoring efforts including dropping 15 points in a win over MidPro South on Saturday afternoon. He is an up-and-coming prospect in the Class of 2025 with some really impressive athletic tools.
