- Carmel did not have the best of showing vs Evansville Reitz but the senior point guard kept them fighting. Couto is one of the better floor generals we have in the state and that is what he showed today. He defended very well today too and made some tough plays.

Couto is a perfect fit within Carmel’s motion offense. He moves well off of screening action, has great footwork on the perimeter, and can get his shot off quickly. The 6’0″ guard made 74 three-point shots last season at a 38.4% clip. Look for the Huntington commit to once again be one of the top shooters in the state while leading a Carmel team that could contend within the Top 10 of Class 4A.
