We continue to see improvement in Fant’s game as he looks to carve out a role in a talented Carmel High School backcourt this season. He appears to have grown a bit to 6’2″-6’3″ now while maintaining his impressive athleticism off of the bounce. Fant really has some explosiveness when elevating to score at the end of his drives. Also, as is the case with most Carmel guards, he brings it as a perimeter defender as well. He is an under-the-radar name to follow in the Class of 2027.

Fant is the perfect example of why we at Prep Hoops Indiana pride ourselves at being in the gym as much as possible. Eventually, being at Carmel High School essentially guarantees exposure to college coaches. However, early on, it can actually make you fly under-the-radar because there are so many good players. Admittedly, the first we had heard of this 6’1″ point guard was at week one of the Metro Indy Fall League. The athletic guard stood out on both ends of the floor and will now remain on our radar for the three years to come.
