Opposing teams scheme to stop or slow Mitchell each time he competes. But all the plotting to hinder the Iowa State recruit usually goes for naught. Mitchell is productive no matter what defenses do to get him off his game, and that is probably his biggest attribute. His versatility in scoring inside and outside, handling the ball, rebounding and making plays shines through time after time. The returning Player of the Year in the Fox Valley Association averaged 25.7 points and 8.6 rebounds against some of the top competition in the state while helping Oshkosh North to a 20-6 record and the league title. He will carry an even bigger load during his final year of prep basketball since his sidekick the past three seasons, Stevie Clark, now is playing at Colgate.

Confidence is always a very good trait to have on the basketball court and Kinziger plays with an abundance. Because of all the time he has spent in the gym over the years, the skills he has developed and his killer instinct, Kinziger competes with supreme trust in his ability to help De Pere win games. A four-year varsity performer for one of the state's elite programs, Kinziger starts his senior season with 1,248 points. He averaged 19.9 points and 5.4 rebounds as a junior on a very talented and balanced De Pere squad that finished 26-2. His presence in the Redbirds' lineup in 2024-25 is a big reason why many anticipate De Pere making a strong push to win the WIAA Division 1 state title next March.

Garlock remains day-to-day as the season gets underway as he continues to recover from a foot injury that kept him out all spring and summer. The mobile 6-foot-11 forward committed to Wisconsin over the summer, joining Kinziger in the Badgers' 2025 recruiting class. Garlock's upside remains very strong as he can score facing the basket and in the paint. He runs the floor very well, can block/alter shots and is an unselfish teammate. Garlock averaged 16.5 points and 8.2 rebounds for Middleton as a junior, helping the Cardinals to a 13-12 record. Besides regaining 100 percent health, one of the next biggest areas Garlock wants to improve is his foul shooting as he made just 49 percent of his tries from the line on 131 attempts last year.

The era of playing second fiddle for Momcilovic is over as he becomes the focal point of the Pewaukee attack this season after deferring to his older brother, Milan, two years ago and to prolific guard Nick Janowski last winter. Momcilovic improved as much as any other player in the state's 2025 class since the end of last season. He picked up a slew of NCAA Division II offers in June and then landed some Division I offers in July. He eventually committed to St. Thomas and now is geared up for a big senior season. Momcilovic is a good shooter, solid on the blocks and a good passer. He averaged 12.3 points and 6.7 rebounds last season as Pewaukee went 25-5 and lost to Wisconsin Lutheran in the WIAA Division 2 state-title contest.

All set to attend DME Academy in Delafield last August, Davis Jr.'s life took a very sad turn a few months ago when his father, Chris Davis Sr., suddenly passed away. Davis Jr. opted to return home to be close to family and he enrolled at Sun Prairie East after excelling the past two seasons at Sun Prairie West. Now living with his mother in the Sun Prairie East district, Davis joins a talented squad at Sun Prairie East. Teaming with multi-year varsity performers [player_tooltip player_id='2371370' first='Trystan' last='Fry'], [player_tooltip player_id='2493698' first='Max' last='Glusick'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2304732' first='Max' last='Raimer'], Davis hopes to help the Cardinals compete for a Big Eight Conference title. A wired-to-score-from-start-to-finish player, Davis finds the basket in transition, from the perimeter, off the dribble and from the free throw line. He averaged 40.8 points per outing to lead the state as a junior. While his production might not reach that level in 2024-25, his presence in the Cardinals' lineup is a major asset for coach Steve Maselter. Davis recently committed to NCAA Division I Arkansas State.
