, Davis hopes to help the Cardinals compete for a Big Eight Conference title. A wired-to-score-from-start-to-finish player, Davis finds the basket in transition, from the perimeter, off the dribble and from the free throw line. He averaged 40.8 points per outing to lead the state as a junior. While his production might not reach that level in 2024-25, his presence in the Cardinals’ lineup is a major asset for coach Steve Maselter. Davis recently committed to NCAA Division I Arkansas State.

It’s been a somber and exceptionally sad few weeks for Davis Jr., as he lost his father, Chris Davis Sr., suddenly a few weeks ago to a heart attack. He was set to attend DME Academy in Delafield, but after the death of his father, Chris opted to return home to live with his mother in Sun Prairie. He is enrolled at Sun Prairie East for his senior season. He had 27 points in a 57-55 win for his team on Wednesday and flashed his usual aggressiveness on the offensive end of the court. A good athlete with size, strength and skill, Davis is very difficult to keep out of the lane and once there, he scores at a very high level. He is a scoring machine in the open court, and plays with extreme confidence once he gets the ball in his hands. Davis can score with his back to the basket, from outside the arc, and off the bounce. Simply put, he’s an absolute handful to defend. His 40.8 ppg average as a junior at Sun Prairie West speaks to that fact.
