Polite is primed for a huge senior campaign in the 2024-2025 season.

The 6’6 SF will continue his leadership on both ends of the floor for the Highlanders. We may see an increase in offensive production in the scoring and assists category.

As a key returner, he will draw a lot of attention on the offensive end. Polite is a highly capable play-maker who plays a winning brand of basketball. He currently holds offers from Illinois State and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

Players with size, skill and athleticism tend to stand out on the basketball court. Polite possesses all three of those assets and is the top returning player for a Homestead squad that came within an eyelash of advancing to the sectional finals a year ago, losing to De Pere in overtime in the sectional semifinals. The returning second-team all-North Shore Conference pick averaged 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists as a junior, helping Homestead to a 20-7 record under coach Sean Crider. Polite can guard different positions and can score from the backcourt or use his size and athleticism to garner points in the lane. Illinois State and Milwaukee extended scholarship offers to Polite over a year ago, but he has yet to make his collegiate decision.

Trevor Polite Trevor Polite 6'6" | SF/SG Homestead | 2025 State WI had a big first half to help Homestead build a solid lead over Beloit Memorial. He possesses good positional size out on the wing at 6’6, with the ability to create for himself off the dribble. Trevor was dangerous getting to to the basket, and the strength he’s been adding over the past couple of years aided him in finishing through contact. Sag off too much though and he can pull-up for a mid-range jumper. With his size he’s able to contribute as a rebounder, and is comfortable defending just about every spot on the floor at the high school level.
