#1 Orem

Orem has a really good team and they could go really big with a lineup of [player_tooltip player_id='1146666' first='Chamberlain' last='Burgess'], [player_tooltip player_id='1164726' first='Jax' last='Allen'], [player_tooltip player_id='1278444' first='Kai' last='Wesley'], [player_tooltip player_id='1146661' first='Trey' last='Hiatt'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1260479' first='Chance' last='Dastrup']. That length could allow them to play different defenses and really disrup other teams offenses. They will start the year with a target on their backs. Look for players like Ryker Mikkleson and [player_tooltip player_id='2306605' first='Simeon' last='Suguturaga'] to really make an impact in region play. Orem's first 6 games are wild. They will be ready for anything come region play.

#2 Timpview

Timpview has a few players that should get more shine this season like Linclon Holcombe and [player_tooltip player_id='1278505' first='Mason' last='Ford']. They have some talent on the roster including Dean Ruckert who is a high major prospect. Then you have stock rising talent like Will Openshaw and [player_tooltip player_id='1960161' first='Callen' last='Tollestrup']. This team could beat anyone and they play Orem twice which should be epic. Expecting sold out crowds for those two games.

#3 Highland

Could Highland be better than they were last year? That is a great question, we do know that [player_tooltip player_id='1278450' first='Isaiah' last='Drisdom'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1290118' first='Vai' last='Higby'] have improved. They have [player_tooltip player_id='1617154' first='Jack' last='Anderton'], [player_tooltip player_id='2610482' first='Bodie' last='Dodge'] and now [player_tooltip player_id='1598266' first='Jordan' last='Oberholtzer']. This team has the guards to play with anyone. Soren Reis could be a huge part of their success.

#4 Springville

[player_tooltip player_id='1278439' first='Jamyn' last='Sondrup'] is ready to make a statement. Recently the 6'10 C was on a visit to Purdue and if he can just get those deep paint touches and hit a few trail 3's he is going to be a problem. [player_tooltip player_id='1243529' first='Andrew' last='Miller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1278449' first='Mason' last='Hansen'] are solid guards. Then you have [player_tooltip player_id='1724426' first='Swift' last='Hall'] who is starting to really make a name for himself. This team is talented.

#5 Brighton

[player_tooltip player_id='1272412' first='Bradley' last='Easton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1571744' first='Jaxon' last='Soto'] are set to make a big run. They have the perimeter play to spread the floor, shoot and attack the rim. Do not forget that they will get major production from [player_tooltip player_id='2285072' first='Josh' last='Mawhinney']. This kid is good and has some size and skill set that compliments his teammates.

#6 Olympus

Olympus is a dark horse which I think they will be fine with [player_tooltip player_id='1278502' first='Gavin' last='Lowe'] is a talented PG that has one of the best motors in the state. [player_tooltip player_id='1724356' first='Davian' last='Lazarus'] will see the floor a lot more as will [player_tooltip player_id='1278441' first='Caden' last='Jackson']. This team will have a lot of role players that can shoot and that is why you can never count out Olympus.

#7 Bountiful

[player_tooltip player_id='1164728' first='Charlie' last='Smith'] is set to go off his senior year. The sharp shooter will need to be tightly defended. [player_tooltip player_id='1439713' first='Davey' last='Howe'] looks like a much improved player. Luke Liljenquest is another player we will hear more of as well. The bottom line is that Bryson health will be the big difference maker on this team. He has experience and the skills.

#8 Alta

Crazy to think that Alta is at #8 but they lost a lot of scoring and defense. They return [player_tooltip player_id='1278438' first='Dash' last='Reiser'] who looks to be a mixture of scoring and distributing at the PG position. Zak Peapke is another player that should be more of a 1st or 2nd option this year. [player_tooltip player_id='2304535' first='Matt' last='McKea'] will be good and a much needed contributor. Hayden Anderson looks healthy. This team could be a team that sneaks up on you. Do not count them out.

#9 Woods Cross

WX will be lead by CSI commit [player_tooltip player_id='1185170' first='Hunter' last='Jackson']. Jackson fits the build as one of the top lead guards in teh state as he is strong and very active on both sides of the ball. Has two way playing ability and motor will spark a few of the younger players that they will need to step up like [player_tooltip player_id='1724359' first='Madden' last='Johnsen']. Johnsen has a shot to be impactful. [player_tooltip player_id='2380893' first='Elliot' last='Bendinger'] is another kid coming up as well. WX will need big time play from [player_tooltip player_id='1959042' first='Bryson' last='Watson'], he is more than capable of having a huge year.

#10 Juan Diego

JD has some players that you might not have heard of but they have some length and some solid scoring from their guards. [player_tooltip player_id='1964621' first='Luke' last='Meyer'] is a tough forward that has great footwork. Hunter chamberlain is another player with solid length and he gets after it. [player_tooltip player_id='2302949' first='Stockton' last='Young'] will be more experienced and should give them a scoring punch. [player_tooltip player_id='1960136' first='Javier' last='Aguirre'] was solid last year and he will be more confident out in the perimeter this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1568542' first='Jake' last='Wyatt'] is a good player that will contribute. This team is well constructed and they could be inthe mix for another region title.
