Davian Lazarus Davian Lazarus 6'7" | SG Olympus | 2027 State UT is a 6’7 shooting guard and ranked No. 12 in Utah for the 2027 class. His size really stood out to me. He did a great job defending bigger players in the post and came up with some big blocks throughout the day. For his size, he also handles the ball really well, can shoot the rock and makes plays for his teammates. I liked how he was looking to get his teammates involved and didn’t force anything, but when his team needed him to go get a bucket, he could do that too. He showed me a very well-rounded game and it’s easy to see why we have him ranked where we do.

Lazarus is an absolute stud. He dominated from start to finish, and the thing that impressed me the most about him was that he was playing elite defense and making impressive passes as he found open players all over the floor. He was hitting open jumpers, and he was showing an inside presence. One of his best plays was when he pinned someone on the glass. He is a player that i think could play at the highest level, and he has room to develop even more.

Davian may initially appear to be a traditional big who could struggle with quicker players, but he quickly shows there is more mobility to his game. He closes space well defensively, gets himself where he needs to be on the floor, and uses his size effectively without relying on it alone. His imposing height also provides a presence around the rim, making players think twice before attacking the key.

Lazarus might be 6’9, and he has an intriguing skill set as a next-level talent. With size, shooting ability, and room to improve, Lazarus could be among those players that finds himself with a lot of options. He might be one of the hardest players to stop in the region, and that versatility is what makes him tricky to defend. He gives Olympus an edge that nobody else has.

Lazarus continues to rise and prove why he should be on the rise. Lazarus knows what it takes to win games, and with so much length and versatility, Lazarus can provide massive versatility at the 3, and he can also defend the 4s. Lazarus brings good shooting and rebounding, which are key components that next-level coaches are looking for. One of the most versatile wings in the state.

Lazarus is a player who knows how to win and will be a solid addition at the next level. Could be a JUCO steal. He is a player who could make some more noise in July’s live periods.

Lazarus started off the game playing great 1-on-1 defense against Highland’s main scorer and big man Soren Ries Soren Ries 6'9" | PF/SF Highland | 2026 State UT . He was able to affect almost every shot by the opponent in the paint and affected the flow of their best player immediately. He does a good job of spacing the floor as well for his other playmakers and hits the shots you need him too.

Lazarus is another player that could project higher in a few years but right now a top tier NJCAA JUCO could get an offer out as he has the length and the athletic ability is coming. He is a late bloomer that could be a solid SG at the next level. If he gets a few more inches he could really elevate his stock but as of now any small school should really keep an eye on his as he has next level talent.
