The annual WIBCA June D1 Recruiting Event took place on the last weekend of July up in the Bellevue/Sammamich/Issaquah area and we had an opportunity to drop by all three gyms on Sunday to take in some of the action. Watching alongside a whole host of college coaches, including many from the D-I ranks, here are some of the top rising senior guards and wings :

[player_tooltip player_id='1276625' first='Jalen' last='Atkins'] (2025 Barlow) - Atkins looked as impressive as we've seen him all summer long in a win against Lehi. The rising senior has settled into playing the point guard spot for the Bruins and he was just as effective setting up his teammates as he was with his scoring prowess. Atkins was quick off the dribble, made some sharp passes to teammates underneath for scores, and when it was given to him was lights out shooting from distance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1387877' first='Brayden' last='Barron'] (2025 Barlow) - Not a huge game necessarily against Lehi for Barron but as usual, the rising senior wing showcased his immense potential. He played above the rim on both ends, ran the floor, was dominant on the boards, and offensively knocked down jumpers both off the catch-and-shoot and pull-ups off the dribble. With Portland State head coach Jase Coburn watching, we had Barron down with a double-double and he earned his first scholarship offer from the Vikings later in the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='1276628' first='Brayden' last='Boe'] (2025 Mountainside) - Settling into playing with his Mountainside teammates after playing the previous weekend with Dream City Christian at the Section 7 event, Boe handled the point against Garfield and was super aggressive attacking the basket. He sliced through the defense on a number of occasions to finishes at the hoop - including a power slam - but also got himself into position for his patented step-back fadeaway. A couple of nice-looking dishes as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1276626' first='Isaac' last='Carr'] (2025 Central Catholic) - In a win against West Valley, Carr capably dug into his entire bag on the offensive end. He started off nailing a couple of threes, but then used his athleticism and added strength to create off the bounce and score in the lane, with a couple of finishes through contact for traditional and-ones. Plenty of college coaches were on hand to witness the effort, including Wake Forest assistant coach BJ McKie.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368276' first='Cole' last='Hammack'] (2025 Wilsonville) - When it was needed, Hammack came up big for Wilsonville in their win against Nathan Hale. The senior guard first started to light it up from three-point range and then when the defense caught on, used his quickness and ability to score off the dribble to get to the hoop for buckets. He finished with a team-high 23 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368247' first='Duce' last='Paschal'] (2025 Central Catholic) - One thing that is plainly clear to us is the fact that Paschal will be one of the top run-and-jump athletes in the senior class this upcoming year in 2024-25. The rising senior ran the floor like a deer and was up over the rim on a number of rebounds on both ends of the floor, and showed great vertical on his pull-up jump shot as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368229' first='Peyton' last='Reyes'] (2025 Mountainside) - Reyes has gotten more aggressive with his offense this summer and in a tough loss against Garfield, he showed off his new confidence in his outside jumper by knocking down some threes but also converted some quick drives to the hoop. Hard-nosed play and plenty of energy on the defensive end as always.
