College Commitment: Wake Forest
After helping lead Central Catholic to the 2024 6A title, Carr brought the Rams back to the Chiles Center once again as a senior. The all-around guard got it done offensively at all three levels all season long and he should be one of Team Oregon’s top scoring threats at the Northwest Shootout. Carr wrapped up an intense college recruitment by deciding to go out-of-state when he signed with Wake Forest in the fall.

Carr averaged 17.5 ppg on 47.1 percent shooting, 37.5 percent from three, and 68.4 percent from the free throw line. Despite often facing the opposing defense’s top perimeter defender, the senior guard capably showed he could score at all three levels and did so with plenty of balance. We saw him in their opening game win against Mountainside and everything about his offensive game was as smooth as silk.

The current #1 ranked player in the state of Oregon will be playing his college basketball in the ACC after committing to Wake Forest. His pledge to the Demon Deacons came after a recruitment that saw him previously commit to Portland and Oregon before deciding his best fit would be on the East Coast. Carr, a lethal shooter and scorer who has added a lot of strength and muscle to his frame in the past year, was a critical member of last year’s Central Catholic 6A title team averaging 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists and could be a leading contender for state Player of the Year honors in 2024-25.

Leading the way at the top spot in the rankings once again is Carr, who put together an outstanding summer both on the AAU circuit and with his high school team. His combination of overall skill level and increased size and athleticism have made him a high-major combo guard prospect and college coaches from all over the country came out to watch him play. After whittling down his numerous choices, the Central Catholic senior decided to take his talents to the East Coast and make a commitment to sign early with Wake Forest.

is a skilled playmaker and passer with excellent vision. He has a creative and reliable touch around the basket with either hand, as well as from midrange. Carr helps out on the glass, can start fast breaks immediately, controls the pace of the game, and draws contact to get to the free throw line.

Carr stays at the top of the rankings after a junior season that saw him put up solid stats (15.4 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.9 apg) but more importantly, help the Rams win the 6A title. Still a lights out shooter, the 6-foot-4 guard has become more of an all-around offensive threat who can get to and finish above the rim. Previously committed to Oregon, Carr recently re-opened his recruitment and new scholarship offers have started to pour in.
