BBE features a pair of prospects from the state of Illinois in Chi-Prep duo [player_tooltip player_id='1157224' first='Mike' last='Jones'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1285486' first='Tristian' last='Ford'] who each rank among the top 10 2025s in the state. Jones brought his workhorse mentality on the interior scoring 12 points on 5-8 shooting and grabbing 6 rebounds. Ford is a long and rangy lefty point guard that notched 10 points (5-11 FG), 2 dimes, and 3 steals.</p>

<p><strong>Mac Irvin Fire Hangs in vs Loaded Team Takeover Squad</strong></p>

<p>The Fire gave a good effort on night one against one of the annual contenders for the Peach Jam crown as Team Takeover scored a 66-58 win against the Mac Irvin Fire 17U. Top ranked 2025 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1385293' first='Bryce' last='Heard'] of Homewood Flossmoor is coming off a state crown. He is carrying that momentum into the spring with a strong 17 point outing in the loss.</p>

<p>It wasn't much of a contest for MoKan in their opening victory against LivOn as they cruised to a 66-37 win. St. Ignatius [player_tooltip player_id='1385292' first='Phoenix' last='Gill'] hasn't played grassroots before and is making the big jump to the EYBL at the 17U level. Came off the bench to score 6 points on 3-6 shooting ffom the field. Kenwood power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1385283' first='Aleks' last='Alston'] didn't score in this one, but did manage to grab an impressive 8 rebounds in the win.</p>

Kankakee's [player_tooltip player_id='2105360' first='Lincoln' last='Williams'] is a long and rangy scoring wing who had 18 points.
