A high-level floor spacer and elite movement shooter who excelled in both the half-court and transition game. Williams showcased outstanding footwork, quickly getting his feet set from a variety of movement actions before flowing into a rapid release with a high follow-through and exceptional elevation, creating one of the smoothest catch-and-shoot motions in the gym. As a ball-handler, Howard Williams consistently created advantages through advanced pace control, tight dribbles, change-of-speed, using counters that generated separation for pull-up jumpers, mid-range turnarounds, and powerful downhill drives.

The first thing that stands out when watching Williams is his big, strong frame. He has tree trunks for legs and a very strong upper body that he uses to punish smaller defenders off of the bounce. Then, he starts shooting from the perimeter and you see how smooth he looks. The 6’7″ versatile wing/forward created a lot of matchup problems on Saturday for Team Haliburton and proved why he is highly sought after national prospect.

comes equipped with remarkable positional size that immediately stands out. He proved to be a knockdown jump shooter with the ability to score as both a mid-range assassin and a devastating catch-and-shoot marksman from beyond the arc, needing only a split second of daylight to make defenses pay. Defensively, he showcased disciplined footwork and excellent lateral movement. His combination of size, instincts, and competitiveness allowed him to defend point guards, shooting guards, and wings at a high level.

Williams is a long, athletic wing who consistently impacts winning through his versatility. He plays above the rim, thrives in transition, and creates matchup problems with his length and activity level. Defensively, he can guard multiple positions and frequently disrupt offensive actions with his motor and anticipation. Williams continues to develop as a perimeter creator, which could elevate his profile even further. His two-way upside remains extremely intriguing.
✅ Athletic two-way wing
✅ Transition finisher
✅ Multi-positional defender

Ranked among the nation’s top wings in the 2027 class, the Chicago-native continues to show why he carries that distinction. Williams finished with 18 points for the City Reapers, using his positional size, high basketball IQ, and scoring instincts to put the ball in the basket at all three levels. His ability to impact the game with both efficiency and versatility reinforces his standing as one of the premier wing prospects in the country.

Howard Williams showcased himself as the main scorer for Team Haliburton Pro16 16u in their game against Southern Ties. Williams can score from anywhere on the perimeter and started this game 5/5 on jumpers as he was dialed in from long range. Howard uses his size to his advantage well as a ballhandler to get past smaller defenders to the rim and shoot at an effective clip for his team to get the W. This was my second time getting to watch Howard since last summer and he already has greatly improved his IQ and decision making on both ends of the floor.

Williams is a Chicago native that we have seen a lot during his young career. The combo forward is a strong and physical shot maker that poured them in from distance in this game banging in five from beyond the arc. Most of them were off the catch along with pick/pop. Also hit a step back. Tough on the glass and is a versatile weapon. He had 16 points.

Howard was one of the more impressive all around hoopers that I was able to closely examine on Friday evening against AZ Compass. He was all over the floor grabbing rebounds, putting his body on the line for loose balls, and giving 100 percent on every single play. He fits in very well on a disciplined Oak Hill squad who knows how to stay disciplined and move the ball. Williams plays the game with great energy and is very fundamentally sound for only being a 2027 athlete and he will only continue to raise his stock if he keeps playing at this level. He had several and-one finishes at the basket and hit some midrange and long balls as well.
