brings a modern power forward skill set with clear three-level scoring ability and a downhill-first mentality. At 6’8″, he uses his size and stride length to attack closeouts and get into the paint, where he finishes effectively through contact. He’s comfortable stepping out and spacing the floor, but his impact is most felt when he’s applying pressure on the rim. Berrouet shows good body control on drives and can convert in traffic, making him a tough cover for slower forwards. His offensive versatility allows him to be used in multiple actions, from face-up situations to interior touches.

I’m a big fan of Berrouet as a player right now because he’s productive in a variety of settings. Whether it’s at USA Minicamp, at the high school level or on the EYBL circuit with AB Elite , Berrouet helps you win. A physical forward who wants to play through contact, Berrouet is one of the better play finishers in the class at the moment. If any player in the class could grow three inches to change his long-term trajectory, Berrouet might benefit the most. I love what he does on the court right now and if he grows that would really increase his long-term upside.

Benji Berrouet set the tone immediately by shutting down the paint, swatting interior attempts on consecutive possessions to establish defensive presence. Offensively, Benji Berrouet operated comfortably from the perimeter, knocking down shots and creating off the bounce, while also showing the ability to post up and seal on the block. His footwork was smooth, highlighted by a polished step-through finish that he converted with touch when counters were needed. Benji also rebounded at a high rate, using length and physicality to control the boards. Berrouet completely dictated the game on both ends of the floor, by far the most effective and dominant prospect on the court.

Berrouet is a 6’8″ forward with a legitimately versatile offensive package. He’s a true three-level scorer who can operate from the perimeter or score through contact inside. The blend of finesse and power is evident, and his passing feel out of the post adds another layer. As his motor and lateral quickness continue to improve, his ceiling rises significantly within the Texas landscape.

High-level offensive skillset with real scoring talent. Berrouet showed back-to-the-basket power and toughness with the ball in the trenches, posting up with ease and making himself an easy, available target for perimeter teammates. He also displayed good ball skills, handling the rock with control and poise at his own pace in transition and off the bounce in the half court.

I loved what Berrouet did in the paint all weekend, maybe leading his group in dunks. Berrouet is a strong big who is surprisingly explosive for a player with his body type. Berrouet had dunks in transition, off pick and rolls, DHO’s and putbacks. While Berrouet made a couple of 3-pointers on Sunday, I thought he was his most productive in the paint.

One of the most efficient players on the 15 U EYBL circuit, Berrouet has a nice mix of strong current production and upside down the road to reach. The young forward is physically advanced, plays above the rim, has a high motor on the glass and isn’t afraid of contact. That combination of skills is how Berrouet had multiple 20+ point and 10+ rebound performances at peach jam with AB Elite . Texas has been on a nice run of producing some of the top basketball players in the country and their 2028 class certainly doesn’t lack marquee talent.

Benji brought a well-rounded, versatile frontcourt skillset—blending interior toughness, scoring touch, and smooth athleticism. In the post, he displayed refined footwork and patience, using drop steps, spin moves, and shot fakes to create space and scoring angles. He ran the floor like a wing, using long, fluid strides and a powerful second jump to finish plays above the rim. With a developing face-up game and willingness to battle inside, Benji stood out as one of the most productive and impactful bigs in his EYBL division.
