Edward looks ready to take a step forward for Nicolet as a junior. He’s the perfect floor stretching option for this team, as he’s a pure shooter who’s going to help open up driving lanes for his team’s slashers. Sag off of him and he’ll make you pay by putting three points on the board, but close out too hard and he can get into his one/two dribble pull-up from mid-range. He caught fire in a win for Nicolet against New Berlin West on Sunday.

Edward had one of the better performances at The Expo on Sunday. He showed a complete game highlighted by several aggressive drives to the hoop, finishing through contact, and on one play with a nice two-handed dunk in traffic. He also was adept at taking what the defense gave him pulling up for several mid-range jumpers and proved that he was one of the more explosive scorers consistently knocking down the 3 ball. Already drawing Division 1 interest, I expect many schools to come knocking this season!

Playing for a loaded Nicolet team he may not put up the eye catching numbers that other guys in his class do, but Edward is one of the best pure scorers in the state’s 2027 class. At 6’3 he has some length, has added explosiveness over the past couple of years, and has the body control to finish everything inside. Edward did a nice job of working for high percentage looks around the basket, while still showing that dangerous pull-up jumper to keep defenders on their toes. During the final game of the day he dished out a few assists from the top of they key, showing he’s more than just a scoring threat on offense.

Bullock got Nicolet off to a hot start, building up an early lead that they would keep for the entire game against Edgewood. He was a reserve player last year as a freshman, but now looks set to step into a much bigger role to make up for some of the scoring lost due to graduation/transfers. At about 6’3 he has length on the wing, can stretch the floor with his three point shooting, and has the burst to beat opposing wings off the dribble to get to the rim.

Bullock ran with Team Haliburton over the summer. He returned to Nicolet for the coming season. At camp he displayed a balanced attack on the offensive end. Bullock was a three level scorer for team 3. His impact as a defender was apparent as well. His ability to stay in front of the ball and deny shot at the rim was very impressive.

With Nicolet losing some key players from last season’s team, Bullock is one of the guys who could be looked to to fill in for some of that production. This weekend will provide a good opportunity to see his progress since last season. The 6’3 guard can shoot it off the catch or dribble, but also moves well at his size to get to the rim and use his length to finish. Saw time in 14 varsity games as a freshman for Nicolet.

Bullock was a solid source of scoring for Wisconsin Playground Club . He proved to be a knockdown shooter off the catch when facing zone coverage. His extended range was on display as well when opponents did not have a hand up. He showed up in moments on the defensive end with big rebounds and met a few guys at the rim for blocks.
